So overall this is good for a theater. Recliners are comfortable with good back support, but they're a little too close together for my liking. The screen and projector were in good working condition. The sound was balanced nicely and wasn't too loud. The staff was nice and attentive. I ordered snacks on the app and they were waiting for me when I got there, so that was nice. There was a clear sign on where to pick it up so none of the usual first time confusion. The pop corn was a bit salty which is shocking because I really love my salt. I don't know if the machine was low or they have it dialed down, but the syrup in my soda was really light. Just not enough to dump it and try something else. The other snacks looked good and I would try them if I come back.
The part I took issue with was the cleanliness. Both the women's room and the men's room was trashed. I was okay when I went before the movie because it was jam packed and everyone was busy. Then I went during the movie and the lobby and restroom were completely empty. All the employees were gathered at the front just hanging out. There had to be at least 7 of them just shooting the breeze. 30 minutes later my partner went to the restroom and it was once again empty with them just hanging out and the bathrooms were just destroyed. The area around concession looked like the pop corn machine took a grenade. I'm not saying they should constantly be cleaning but they could of taken 5 minutes and freshened up a little bit. I shouldn't have to scrape popcorn off my shoes every time I walk past concessions to use the...
Read moreI come here pretty often - my most visited theater! It's pretty great. I mean you can't go wrong with a movie with la-z-boy style seats and everything. It's a pretty standard movie theater. And I love the big bathrooms up the stairs just because almost no one ever goes to them but me so it's normally me, alone, in this giant 40 person bathroom. I feel like a queen.
Why 4 stars over 5? Mostly like - man I don't know how to phrase this. The employees don't seem like they want to be there. Half the time I always feel like I awkwardly have to flail a few times to get attention or help when something crops up or I try to get a drink. WHICH I SHOULD NOTE I DON'T THINK IS ON THEM. There are tons of reasons they could be zoning out or ignoring customers - I often go in the morning so maybe caffeine hasn't kicked in, or maybe they're underpaid and thus don't have a ton of excitement for work (the better paid employees are, it turns out, the happier they are to work), maybe management happens to be one of those types that makes the workplace miserable, maybe I just coincidentally show up on bad days, maybe I'm a jerk just too stuck on myself to realize, I don't know! Honestly, any and all of those are valid and can be corrected by the company itself (BY WHICH I MEAN: ACTUALLY PAY YOUR STAFF ENOUGH TO CARE, BIG THEATER COMPANY) . But I make it a 4 because - well - having to awkwardly loom and flail down employees at the refreshment stand and everything makes it less of a...
Read moreMy Favorite AMC Theater – Worth the Drive!
The AMC in Woodinville, WA, is hands down my favorite theater, and I actually travel 20-30 minutes, skipping other nearby theaters just to go there! The biggest reason? Every single seat in the theater is a reclining seat, which makes watching a movie feel extra relaxing. I love that they offer a lot of discounted movie options, especially if you go early on weekends—you can always find a great deal.
Being able to choose your own seat ahead of time is a huge plus, and I really appreciate that they let me bring in my blanket. There’s nothing better than getting cozy in a recliner and enjoying a good movie.
Another big win for me is the food options. They actually have vegan choices, which isn’t something you find at every theater! My go-to is the Impossible Chicken Nuggets with barbecue sauce. And the drink selection? Amazing. They have those Coca-Cola Freestyle machines where you can mix and match different sodas and flavors, so the possibilities are endless.
The theater itself is always clean, and I’ve never had any issues with sketchy behavior. The staff is friendly, and while it’s not a huge theater, it has enough screens to always have something worth watching. Plus, I love that they sell movie merch for big releases—the Beetlejuice merch was especially cool!
Overall, I always look for opportunities to see movies here. If you’re in the area (or even if you have to drive a little), this AMC is...
