Needed a break from unpacking… #breakfast #food #brunch #yummy #omelette #coffee #diner

I truly appreciate the tranquil and soothing ambiance of this cafe/diner. It appears that having dessert along with breakfast is quite popular here! The food was simply delightful. However, I do have one constructive feedback to offer. The grill used for cooking the steaks could benefit from a thorough cleaning. The lingering bitter charred taste on the steak can diminish its overall enjoyment. On a positive note, the other breakfasts I've had here in the past have been exceptionally satisfying. While it may not be the most expensive breakfast I've had in Washington, it is slightly on the pricier side. We ordered three meals and beverages, and we were pleasantly full even halfway through the meal. The portion sizes exceeded our expectations, and they were certainly large enough to share. I understand that many restaurants in this area have been compelled to raise their prices, and this establishment is no exception. Nevertheless, the cost was still reasonable and appropriate for the area. I appreciate the recent renovation, although I do miss the large train muraled booths. However, there are still plenty of train-inspired elements throughout the restaurant. The highlight of my breakfast experience was the seasoned sidewinder fries and the berry blintz with lemon cream. They were absolutely delectable!

TLDR: homey breakfast. Expect a wait time during peak hours, especially breakfast. Parking: large shared lot. You might need to walk but at least you can find a spot. Atmosphere: typical clinks and clangs of a diner. Menu: so many words. Hard to comprehend for the night owl in the morning (at least for me). Other than that, pretty descriptive. No pictures for the visually stimulated. Service: wait to be seated, order at the table, you will be watered, check brought to you, box your own leftovers. Strawberry Waffles with bacon and eggs: Waffle was thinner than I expected and wasn't too amazing by itself--butter and syrup made it tastier. I guess I've been spoiled by Belgium waffles too much. The strawberries are freshly cut and tangy--not soaked in syrup like most places. I like the fact that the diner isn't out to stuff you like a thanksgiving turkey. Proportions are reasonable and you leave satiated. Also, this place doesn't try to blast your tastebuds into oblivion by over flavoring things--dishes are served moderately flavored and you can freely add spices to your liking.

the food was great as it is between the locations but the service was lacking. when I walked in, I informed them that I was on a time limit and had to leave in 40 minutes and asked if that was enough time for them. They told me it was more than enough. I was seated at the bar and it took about 5-8 minutes for someone to come get my order when I had also stated when being seated that I knew what I wanted to order.

The food came out in 10 minutes which was great!! no problem with the kitchen. but after i had finished eating, I spent about 10 minutes trying to make eye contact with the multiple employees who were up at the bar in order to ask for a check. they were talking amongst themselves so I felt rude to interrupt but also I was on a time limit.

I had to ask one of the ladies as she was walking by for a check and she said she'd get it for me. 5 minutes later, no check. I interrupt a few of the employees talking, apologizing and asking for a check because I'm on a time limit. I get the check but it takes them another 10 minutes to pick the check back up. I am sitting at the bar where there are at least 3 employees in front of me or have clear view of me and my check. I'm dissapointed it took so long for any service.

I was also never checked up on during my meal. the bacon was too salty and I wanted to send my feedback but an employee never asked. I've been to 2 of the other locations in mill creek and issaquah and they both have amazing service where they check in on you at least twice during your meal. I'm heavily disappointed with the service and I will avoid this location and go to the other...

Just leaving Woodinville Cafe. Mostly decent experience; I ordered a half an omelette, I had to repeat myself twice, wasn’t sure the server heard me, she seemed very distracted. Had to ask for coffee a couple times (in the past they’ve been really good about refills.) When the omelette came, it was a full order. She disagreed with me that I had ordered a half omelette. I looked at my friend across the table and she said to me, “you said it twice.” So, about 5 mins go by, server comes back and says oh, I remember you said half. I said it’s fine. I’ll just take it home. So I ate half; intending to pay full price and take the other half home. When I stopped eating the server came by and said, I’m only charging you for 1/2 omelette. I said oh, okay, fine. She left and came back a bit later. I had the 1/2 omelette in front of me. I asked for a box; she said you didn’t pay for a full omelette so you can’t have a full omelette. I’m so embarrassed, I mean really. So awkward, like I’m commuting a crime or something. She went and threw it away. What a waste; all because she wasn’t listening. If it wasn’t for great conversation with my friend it would have been a 1 star. Come on guys. :-( Server’s...
