My sister and I stopped in while I was visiting. Boy am I glad we did! The atmosphere is really nice. I felt welcome from the moment we walked in. The staff are great! Even though they were really busy, we were immediately greeted and given a seat. I ordered a Sangria, the chicken pot pie and the berry port pie. My sister ordered the blueberry lavender pie. We got our drinks and then the pie! Oh the pie! Delicious! The portions are double the size of most and the taste is amazing. I planned on bringing half home but it was so good I ate it too fast to even take a pic! The chicken pot pie was the best I've ever had. The chicken was nice and moist. Some pot pies have more veggies than meat but not the case here. So savory! Now time for dessert. My mouth is watering just thinking about them The flavors are very unique. The blueberry lavender has just the right blend of ingredients. The berry port has a crumble top. The flavor is amazing! Not too sweet like some berry pies. The crusts are perfect! Very flaky and not too dry. A special bonus is we got to meet the baker, Jess. She told us all about her pies and how they always have a few new flavors. Her passion for baking shows in the pie. She was super sweet and very friendly. She was happy to answer our questions and made sure we were satisfied with our meal.
I'll definitely be going back to try each flavor of pie and their unique...
Read moreI had the same experience as the other reviewer here who ordered a slice of pie to go.
I've been wanting to try this place since they opened, however the afternoon hours don't really work for me. Finally got to stop by one afternoon. There were no prices posted anywhere that I could see. How much could a slice of pie really cost, though, I thought to myself, and ordered a slice of bourbon pecan and chicken pot to go - I've waited so long to try this place!
The answer, in case you were wondering, is $39, for two smallish, cold slices of pie. I see now from other reviews that if you sit down, the slices come with other things that make it a full meal/dessert. Service seemed slow considering no one else was there, and he just needed to box them up. And the card machine had the audacity to ask for a tip on top of that.
And how was this $40 pie, you ask? Actually it was pretty terrific. The crusts were perfectly thin and flaky. The chicken pot was especially good. The pecan pie was decent, I happen to prefer the pie I make myself, which is less sweet, to this one, but it was still quite good. Was it worth $40, definitely not, for pies try the British Pantry in Redmond, almost as good and...
Read moreThis is a great night out spot. It's not cheap, but the food and wine is worth it in my opinion.
Husband have been wanting to try this place for awhile so we went last night not knowing what to expect. We ordered a bottle of the Malbec, a slice of chicken pot pie, enchilada pie, then for dessert Triple berry port and pumpkin. We loved every single bite, and the wine went amazingly with pretty much everything we ordered, sans the pumpkin pie, but it was so good I didn't care.
The crusts on all the pie were incredible. The enchilada pie had really great flavor and high quality ingredients. The spiciness went really well with the Malbec. The chicken pot pie was so comforting! Big chunks of chicken with veggies. There isn't a liquid gravy, but it's not dry at all.
The desserts were just as good and we had to roll ourselves out of there. As for the wine, the Malbec was very complex, not too spicy but slightly jammy, rich and warm. We LOVED it and will most likely grab a bottle to go next time!
A lovely night out, we will be back to try...
