I haven't not liked anything I've ordered here. The waffles are delicious and fluffy, well topped, and of good variety. The regular breakfast fare is all cooked well. Their chicken fried steak is absolutely delicious, the gravy is thick and full flavored, it doesn't taste like flour like more poorly executed versions. I like their country potatoes but like with all home fries you need to order them when the batch has been on the griddle for a while (which is a luck of the draw sort of thing) or else they aren't the best ever. The ham steak is impressive as well, and wasn't over cooked / dry like I've had at other establishments.
What I don't like is the canned corned beef and hash, it's disgusting. Any place that puts that much love into the rest of their food could easily do their hash from scratch, but I guess it's one of those things you either...
Read moreWent here a few weeks back and sat and waited for a table. It was a busy weekend, Father's Day, so there were tons of people in and out, and we understood there was going to be a lengthy wait; no worries. After awhile, groups that came in after us began to get seated before our group. When we tried to say something to the hostess she argued with us and tried to say another group was here before us (spoiler alert, they weren't). THAT group (thankfully, they were honest people) had to tell the hostess that we WERE in fact here before them. Only then were we seated. Once we were seated, the waitress was friendly enough (literally the only reason I am giving two stars instead of 1), but it took absolutely forever to get our food. Won't go back. It's sad when chain restaurants give better service than local...

Since we were still in the shopping center, we opted to stop at COUNTRY WAFFLES for brunch. I ended up with a pretty traditional breakfast of eggs, hash browns sausage and toast and my daughter had pretty much the same. While the items were fairly typical for breakfast, they were cooked perfectly and served fresh and hot. We enjoyed filling the empty void and then got to sit quietly for a while and sip our tea (for me) and coffee (for her). Everything appeared clean, swept, and counters and tables wiped down. I also never saw any server idle. Overall, a...
