I haven't not liked anything I've ordered here. The waffles are delicious and fluffy, well topped, and of good variety. The regular breakfast fare is all cooked well. Their chicken fried steak is absolutely delicious, the gravy is thick and full flavored, it doesn't taste like flour like more poorly executed versions. I like their country potatoes but like with all home fries you need to order them when the batch has been on the griddle for a while (which is a luck of the draw sort of thing) or else they aren't the best ever. The ham steak is impressive as well, and wasn't over cooked / dry like I've had at other establishments.

What I don't like is the canned corned beef and hash, it's disgusting. Any place that puts that much love into the rest of their food could easily do their hash from scratch, but I guess it's one of those things you either...

Went here a few weeks back and sat and waited for a table. It was a busy weekend, Father's Day, so there were tons of people in and out, and we understood there was going to be a lengthy wait; no worries. After awhile, groups that came in after us began to get seated before our group. When we tried to say something to the hostess she argued with us and tried to say another group was here before us (spoiler alert, they weren't). THAT group (thankfully, they were honest people) had to tell the hostess that we WERE in fact here before them. Only then were we seated. Once we were seated, the waitress was friendly enough (literally the only reason I am giving two stars instead of 1), but it took absolutely forever to get our food. Won't go back. It's sad when chain restaurants give better service than local...

COUNTRY WAFFLES, WOODLAND, CA: My daughter and I had gone shopping early before it got too crowded and hot, so now we were hungry and hadn't had anything to eat. Since we were still in the shopping center, we opted to stop at COUNTRY WAFFLES for brunch. I ended up with a pretty traditional breakfast of eggs, hash browns sausage and toast and my daughter had pretty much the same. While the items were fairly typical for breakfast, they were cooked perfectly and served fresh and hot. We enjoyed filling the empty void and then got to sit quietly for a while and sip our tea (for me) and coffee (for her). Everything appeared clean, swept, and counters and tables wiped down. I also never saw any server idle. Overall, a...

We stopped in on our way through town hoping for a diner style place we could get breakfast and lunch. We got the veggie eggs Benedict, which was ok, the hash browns were undercooked. The salad/sandwich combo came out with far too much iceberg lettuce and the sandwich was suppose to me a melt and came out cold with no cheese and even more iceberg lettuce. I had it sent back to add cheese and grill it. It reminded me of a retirement homes food. Not very flavorful. I do have to say the wait staff was very friendly and helpful.

For a breakfast restaurant it is veru nice and homey. I went here a year aho and this food is really good. I got there breakfast croissant sandwich and the American platter. Both of them are delicious and definitely recommend their croissant breakfast sandwich. Though I only got it for takeout the service was good but not like fantastic since it was so busy byt the food us worth it.

My Bible group meets here every Friday for Men's growth group study and breakfast. A great bunch and Susan our waitress is great, she keeps the coffee flowing, knows what we're going to order almost instinctively, never takes notes and almost never misses. Mexican omelette is my current favorite, but the ham steak, two pancakes or just an oversized fruit bowl also works.
