Thought it was weird on a Saturday morning their parking lot was empty. I went in and ordered 1/2 dozen the girl told me $14.60. I said there must be a mistake I was just there a few weeks ago 1/2 dozen was $9.80 and I thought that was pretty high. The girl said we raised our prices. I said wow. These doughnuts good . Not worth $14.00 for a 1/2 dozen that's being really greedy. I won't ever go back there .I will lose a few pounds because I was going here probably 6 or 7 times a month. No more at jewel you can get a dozen for $6.00 there not as good. But the jewel doughnuts are ok not to bad. Dunk-n doughnuts are cheap compared to this place now. I know the lady was being very polite when telling me about raising the prices. And I'm being very polite here when you keep raising them after they are already the highest doughnuts around. People say no.no no your prices are way too high for me. UPDATE IF YOU WANT GREAT HOMEMADE DOUGHNUTS I FOUND A PLACE CALLED MUNSTER DOUGHNUTS THEY MAKE THEM 24 HOURS A DAY THEY HAVE ABOUT 30 DIFFERENT TYPES AND THEY ARE 13 BUCKS FOR A DOZEN THEY ARE THE BEST DOUGHNUTS I EVER HAD. THIS PLACE IS LIKE A 35 MIN RIDE FROM THIS DOUGHNUT COMPANY. RIGHT OFF I 80/94 FIRST EXIT IN INDIANA CALUMET AVE DOWN ABOUT 1 MILE ON RIGHT SIDE JUST BEFORE THE SHELL GAS STATION. ITS WORTH THE RIDE OUT THERE . THEIR DOUGHNUTS LAST ABOUT 3 DAYS IF YOU TAKE THE RIDE OUT THERE. YOU WILL BE GOING BACK AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK. I DO I BROUGHT A DOZEN TO WORK LAST MONTH NOW MOST OF THE GUYS I WORK WITH GO OUT HERE TO GET DOUGHNUTS FOR THEIR FAMILIES. I cannot explain how excited I am that finally we have a bakery in the neighborhood that sells donuts. All the grocery store and food chains that sell donuts are fake and nasty. These donuts are fresh and delicious. I purchased a red velvet with cream cheese frosting, taffy apple, Bavarian, apricot filled, cream-filled Long John and a maple bacon Long John. The taffy apple tastes just like a real taffy apple. The filling is apple cinnamon with real chunks of apple. The top has a light caramel glaze with real nuts on top. Not only are the donuts delicious, customer service is awesome. there's about three to four young guys at work there and they have great energy. now when you walk into other places and the employees are moping around and throwing donuts in a box. For coming at 8:00 in the morning these guys were full of energy and you can tell that they enjoy what they do. I really hope this business stays open especially with the pandemic going on. Don’t know what’s up with the review with the Dunkin Donut bag? Place is sold out because it’s amazing. Also people are not machines? Maybe they were tired bc they were so busy they sold out? Im strongly considering going into debt just buying them out. They have a huge selection of donuts! Every donut we tried was delicious! The dough was so soft, and most surprisingly the icing wasn’t overwhelming sweet! Even the classic glazed, the glaze was perfectly done and wasn’t overly thick/overpowering. Also if you like bacon and maple syrup, you’ll love their maple bacon long John, sweet and salty without being greasy! Every variety we tried we liked. The caramel macchiato was great also, they have a very nice machine and make it right in front of you. Very enjoyable and will definitely...
