My wife and I recently had the pleasure of hosting our baby shower at Wholey Granoly, and it was an experience we will cherish forever. Owned by Chris and Natalie, this small family-owned gem exudes warmth and hospitality that make you feel right at home from the moment you step in.
For our baby shower, Chris, Natalie, Toni and their staff went above and beyond. Their culinary skills were on full display, with the food being both incredibly delicious and perfectly cooked. The attention to detail and care they put into every dish truly set the event apart. One particularly heartwarming moment was when my 6-year-old niece, who usually gets the birthday pancakes when we visit, asked Toni where the pancakes were, even though they weren’t part of the menu we had selected for the party. Despite handling other responsibilities, Toni went out of her way to whip up pancakes for her and the other kids, showcasing the exceptional service and dedication of the Wholey Granoly team.
Another story that particularly stands out is from my birthday last year. During a casual conversation at the restaurant, I mentioned how much I love banana bread pudding. To my surprise and delight, Chris made a custom pan of banana bread pudding for my birthday dinner. This unexpected and thoughtful gesture speaks volumes about the kind of people Chris and Natalie are—genuine, caring, and always willing to go the extra mile for their customers.
Wholey Granoly is more than just a restaurant; it’s a place where you’re treated like family. Chris and Natalie have created a warm, inviting atmosphere that, combined with their exceptional food, makes every visit special. If any business deserves success, it’s theirs. We can’t recommend Wholey Granoly enough and look forward to many more visits...

My kids and I are in the clean plate club, and that is saying something. This is absolutely my new go to for breakfast! This place is new to the area and it is much needed. It serves both breakfast and lunch. It has gluten free and vegan options. The flavors? Amazing. It tastes elevated. The portions are big. To he coffee is hot, plentiful, and strong. I had a Benny that sat on a bed of kale with avocado, with hashbrowns along with a side of ranch (which in and of itself was delish). My kiddos had what was called birthday pancakes.
Location - 10 out of 10. It's right in the Bolingbrook Ikea parking lot. There was plenty of parking right outside the door.
Food - 11 out of 10. So many choices and it all sounded delicious with a variety of dietary options. I opted to select what I can't make at home and I was not disappointed. They serve both breakfast and lunch but I only ate breakfast.
Ambiance - 10 out of 10. This place has a fresh, new vibe. It's a really nice looking place, that also takes food to the next level. Silverware was wrapped in cloth napkins. I'm obsessed with the tile work and the feature walls. Bathrooms are in the back. There are changing tables available for the littles. They also had plenty of highchairs and cups with lids. The background music made my day.
Overall, my server was great. Fast friendly service and she made me feel like I wasn't a horrible person for bringing my messy kiddo.
I will be back. With my husband for a breakfast date! I...
Read moreServce was actually a ZERO. If you're looking for a place to dine and relax where there is actually service to a customer, this is not the place for you. Took 25 minutes to get our drinks. Had to ask for napkins. Had to then ask for a spoon to stir coffee. Had to ask for a water refill which never came until after 20 minutes only after then also asking the hostess for water. Took 30 minutes before even taking our food order. Noticed table next to us who came in 30 minutes after us already had their food and we were still waiting. Then had to also ask hostess for our food since our waitress and cook were AWOL. Finally delivered our food and no silverware. Had to then ask hostess for silverware as waitress had run off before we could ask her. Think they would know customers would need silverware as it is a restaurant. Couldn't get the check from absent waitress so asked another waitress who brought it to us. Then waitress didn't come to get our credit card and after waiting and waiting and waiting had to go find her. Found her hanging out with her manager gabbing and laughing away. When I said we were waiting for our check the manager told me that our waitress was doing something for her. Oh excuse me manager. Here I thought we were the paying customers dealing with an absentee waitress for the last 2 hours. Silly me thinking our server should actually provide customers with service. VERY unpleasant NON-service. WILL NEVER GO BACK. AVOID...
