I wasnt going to leave any review because I'm a business owner and don't like negatively speaking on others.. BUT.. I was in this location yesterday around 12:30 p.m. I was in line and overheard a woman who was visibly, visibly upset with the interaction she had with the cashier. She walked away crying and as I watched her she was speaking with 3 men by the food area with the benches. By this time she was crying harder than when she left the register, my heart literally broke for her. She said she was fighting breast cancer, her tears and voice trembling made me realize how short life can be. And this is how we treat fellow human beings? Where is the kindness? Empathy? I think you could of handled this much more professionally than I witnessed. I know my voice isn't much, but if that woman happens to read this. Please know, keep fighting. There are good people in the world and Costco just happens to have a really bad employee who should not interact with people on any level. As as scrolled through the comments on this, I see they may have more than one bad employee. As a business owner, I feel that this may not be a suitable corporation to spend my money on, especially after yesterday. I change my hair color and style often, am I going to be treated like she was? Like dirt? Subhuman? I'll tell you this, I won't be back to this Costco and I'm ok with that. I've been with Costco many years and have never been this disappointment in my entire life, and I'm not young. Been around a long time.. Please, be kind. People are human, they have emotions, that lady DID NOT DESERVE to leave that store in tears. How embarrassing Costco. How embarrassing! Perhaps I should not renew and give my membership money to the cancer research in that ladies honor, since Costco failed her, failed us, failed everyone. Shame on you. And to that cashier, I prayed for you. I prayed you find peace and some kindness in your heart, some kind words, some social skills.I don't know what made you miserable yesterday but I hope no one makes you cry at any establishment. Ever. Have a blessed night and remember..Being kind is the right choice. I'm speaking to everyone, especially the...
Read moreI had one of the worst customer service experiences at this location today. As I was the first in line waiting for a self checkout kiosk, an employee by the name of âLoâ rushes up to tell me âthere are three regular lanes with no line to go toâ. I tell him that I prefer self check out ⌠and his response is âWell weâre checking IDs over here anywayâ - clearly insinuating that I only want to use the self checkout because I donât have an actual membership. At this point, Iâm angry - from the beginning of my interaction with him to the end of it he was rude. The self checkout line was not crowded at all and some people, like me, prefer it. Beyond that, his way of talking to me was unnecessarily rude - you canât not be a front facing employee with a nasty attitude. I asked him why he didnât all didnât approach anyone else in the manner he approached me because he clearly seems to be profiling me. He condescending responds that no one else is behind me and acts like heâs done with the conversation- and prompts me to checkout at the self checkout. The eye rolling and hand gestures - trying to make me feel small to get his nonexistent point across were over the top, I then I ask to speak with a manager because I feel unnecessarily disrespected. Ultimately I speak to the supervisor and she later gets the manager for me. I make it very clear that although he claimed to be checking IDS I observed that no one before or after me had their ID checked by him- he didnât mention it to anyone but me. But beyond that was how rude and nasty he was, how he decided to ruin my day with his rudeness and profiling. He was acting as if I was doing him a disservice or inconvenience by using self checkout. His assumption that I wasnât an actual Costco member was ridiculous. Both the manager (I think her name was Amira but I canât quite remember) weâre empathic and I appreciate them hearing me out - but the experience with Lo was beyond upsetting. I hope he does not continue this behavior- no one deserves to be disrespected and made to feel less then when doing a task as simple as...
Read moreFirst of all, they donât even deserve the one star I had a friend that visited Costco this morning after doing chemo . She got humiliated walking in as the lady stopped her and told her she cannot enter without her husband she asked why the lady said because of the picture, now mind you the picture was of her with no hair, And know she doesnât owe anyone an explanation as her name is on her membership credit card But this was just the first time as she got humiliated in this Costco. TWICE. She explained that she had lost her hair fighting cancer. The lady let her walk in, after Walking around to check out and the cashier , Valerie Also said out loud that she needed to have her husband With her to check out using the membership card and again she had to explain That it was her , Look, At the Name thatâs on the front of the card . She then basically proceeded to call my friend a liar . My friend asked for a manager who was a young kid, who then told her if you are embarrassed by your picture Maybe take another one. First of all, thatâs no way for a manager to speak to a customer And then said well, this could be a training lesson. OK, so what about my friend and her feelings and being humiliated she was being spoke to the way that she did in front of other people all while trying to survive each day that she wakes up for her family and friends Itâs already hard to get through this time of year and then to walk into a store and deal with the ignorance and the disrespect She encountered today at this. Costco is unacceptable. Maybe their employees at this location need to take a training class and how to be kind to others . She did not need to explain why she had no hair because there couldâve been many reasons behind it. Hair or not, she is a Human being And should have been treated a whole lot better Instead, she was humiliated and left the store in tears. I will not suggest this location to any of my family and friends as Not even And apology was given to her When dealing with the public , customer service Needs...
