Wife and the family wanted to try this place. We all had pretty much similar rice bowels. I had the steak and vegetables rice bowels. Being from the Bay Area we know Japanese grills, rice bowle and hibachi very well.
I will say this, the food portions are generous, and the vegetables are fresh .The steak portions are big and tender. The only issue for me and my wife is the TASTE! We really wanted to like this place and the portions
The taste or lack of flavor really hurts the dishes. My steak had no hint of seasoning or anything for that matter. A FIRST for us with our experience of japenese cuisine restaurant s especially rice bowels etc... I had to add soy sauce to get any flavoring. I highly recommend to the management to look at marinading thier beef in an aiuthenau japJapan marinde or rub to give it that special flavor and tenderness that's well known from many Japanese grills.
Come on Ichiban you can do it and the rest of the meal is delicious. Just the beef let you down. This could be a big much needed hit in the East Cobb and Woodstock restaurant...
Read moreWOW. Not just satisfied but STOKED. I ordered 4 spring rolls (best ever maybe? I mean oh my... so good... and for the confused reviewer down there the clear stuff is cabbage) and a Yum Yum Roll. They sent extra Yum Yum sauce on the side which I didn't ask for, but THEY KNOW THE WAY TO MY HEART! The sushi was amazing. I did add a little soy sauce for some saltiness. I also got teriyaki wings, and they sent me egg drop soup unexpectedly for free. I can't wait for lunch tomorrow! This place has REALLY really good food. Highly recommend!!! UPDATE 2 YEARS LATER: Absolutely delicious, every single time we order. The sushi is perfect and arrives crisp and hot (if that's what yours calls for). The yum yum sauce is so good I order extras to use in different dips and sauces. And if you have leftover spring rolls fear not! Heat a nonstick pan on LOW heat (no higher) and cook until heated through (no oil needed). I love this restaurant so much I want...
Read moreI don't like to write reviews but I feel the need to do so because of health reasons. We ordered from Ichiban Grill and the sushi was so bad. Super fishy smell and taste. I understand places are also raising their prices due to inflation as well, but it was super frustrating to spend that much on dinner we had to throw out because it was so bad and old.
When we were leaving I was already nervous as the container of salmon had a label that was sitting in the glass cooler turned towards us with the date on it. It was put in there are May 17th at 11:45 am (we went on May 19th) and had instructions to be thrown out May 23rd. Just be aware you could be eating fish that is sitting out all day and up to...
