So I lived in Oregon for 15 yrs, which is the birth place of Dutch Brothers. I frequented local DB’s for many years. I know they train their baristas to be friendly and chatty. I’m cool with a smile and a quick chat while you make my drink. I have never waited at a DB for longer than 10 min though. Here in Waco, they’re taking it to a new level. I shouldn’t be held hostage in your drive thru line (with no way out) while I watch the baristas out in the drive thru line talking with the cars in front of me for 10+ minutes. Each. At one point there was no one even at the window getting their order, just a car 20 ft from the empty pick up window while they chatted! When I mentioned it to the barista who took my order, because I was now late and had no escape, I was told that as a company they value customer interaction and they hoped my day improves. That’s cool. I will be choosing to spend my money and time at a business that values customer SERVICE. There’s a difference between friendly service and wasting...
Read moreAfter waiting patiently in line for nearly 10 minutes, it was my turn. Just before the car in front of me leaves, someone comes in and parks in the front. Probably a 2nd worker? The line has wrapped around the building. I pull up to the window to find that the vehicle that parked in the front, was a woman who went to the walk-up window. The lone worker told me, the person who had patiently waited for his turn, to wait a moment. She started taking the walk-up window order, which was multiple drinks. That walk-up window should have been closed. All of us waited our turn. Why was she allowed to cut the line? That's horrible customer service, and your coffee isn't that good. You should be trying to retain the maximum number of customers, not catering to the one single customer wo thinks she's special. I'll...
Read moreI have been one of Dutch bros fans since they opened here, but I am extremely disappointed in my recent experience. I mobile ordered a medium drink, and when I pulled up i was given a small. Things happen I understand so i politely asked if this was suppose to be a medium, the lady at the window looked and apologized and handed it to the bar. I watched the girl on the bar pour the small drink into the mix cup and grabbed a medium cup and just poured it in. No extra milk, or flavoring that’s suppose to be in a medium. I was basically given a small with extra ice in a medium cup. I know they have different measurements, so this was very upsetting. Paid for a medium received a small in...
