Splendid Oaks Chocolates & Ice Cream — Restaurant in Woodway

We really have enjoyed chocolates and treats from Splendid Oak downtown. Earlier this week my family and I decided to visit this new location in the later afternoon. The atmosphere was nice and they did a great renovation job. When we got closer to the display of chocolates, unfortunately there were numerous flies on and flying around the chocolate. They were smaller than house flies but bigger than gnats. And since the chocolates are not closed off from behind the counter, they were free to fly in, out and around the product. They chocolates looked incredible but the amount of flies were very off putting and we turned around and went to another business for a treat with the kiddos. Seeing one fly is one thing and you can see past that. It was the amount of them that was the off putting part-easily over a dozen that you could see just glancing through the glass. They opened and I couldn't find a reason to go in. I thought it was another ice cream place that would disappoint me.

This place has something special. I don't know if it's the vibe, the people who serve you here, or I don't what...

The variety of chocolates is on another level. The opportunity to try chocolates from other countries blows my mind.

I chose to try a Chocolate Brownie ice cream, which I can't explain. Creamy, excellent flavor, the brownie pieces were noticeable. It is truly a place you have to visit.

I'm on a strict diet, but I would break my diet for another ice cream from this place. 🔥

The chocolates are darn near perfect. The flavors were SO delicious! I ordered big my first time there because when you bring the box back for more, you get $ off on your purchase! Great idea! However, I think they should liven up the place and display some graphics of their gelato/chocolates. When I walked in, I was confused if I had just walked into a closed building and I had to look around at the place to figure out why it was so quiet. A sweet girl helped me and explained the chocolates well. The only menu they had was on a 4x4 paper and it explained pricing only…no flavors, deals, or even just what kind of items they offer.
