Today was my very first visit. I went in for lunch with my brother. There is so much to unpack about this restaurant. Walking through the first set of doors, there is a beautifully made cherry blossom tree. The second set of doors brings you to the hostess station and a very open and inviting dining space and bar area. I don't know if the hostess on staff is part manager or owner but she is very friendly. We were seated by a window with gorgeous Japanese curtains with amazing designs on them. The booth is very comfortable and spacious. Our server Becca, I believe her name was, greeted us almost as we sat down. Extremely personable and has great humor. We started with drinks and appetizers. I got the Pork Gyoza (pot stickers), my brother ordered the Rock Shrimp (shrimp cooked in a very light tempura batter I believe). For our meals we both ordered the Spicy seafood ramen, I ordered the sushi deluxe and a salmon roll. My brother also ordered the sashimi and a rainbow roll. You can tell when a restaurant cooks everything to order or if the take frozen food and heat it. I'm telling you absolutely everything is FRESH. The food is phenomenal. The spicy seafood ramen is my personal favorite. We also ordered 1 dessert at the end Green tea Mochi. I wasn't sure if I would like it, as I have never tried it before, it was delicious and very refreshing. Thank you Fuji for a wonderful experience and some of the most amazing and authentic foods I have ever tried. If I could give more stars I definitely would. We will be...
Read moreEdit: Had to change my review from 5 stars to 2. This place has gone downhill. Tried to tell me a regular mojito is not sweet, only the strawberry and watermelon are. Please double check what is in a mojito, specifically the ingredient that was missing from mine, sugar/simple syrup. Food quality is not bad, but something has changed. New chef, no bartender? I'm not sure. The staff are friendly and offerred to fix it, but did not understand i wasn't asking for a customized drink, just wanted it made right.
This restaurant is easy to find and there is plenty of parking.
I was greeted by friendly staff upon entering and seated immediately. The interior is decorated beautifully and creates a nice atmosphere.
I have eaten here five times so far and the food does not disappoint. The sushi tastes delicious and fresh. The fish at some restaurants is tough and not so flavorful, but the fish here is amazing! I also enjoyed the spicy miso ramen which is full of flavor. Another thing they did well compared to many of the other Japanese restaurants in the area. Whoever prepares the food takes pride in doing so. Please don't change the ingredients or the way the food is prepared.
The Fuji Apple Sake is amazing!!
Highly recommend and will...
Read moreI’m not sure what the deal is here, but I had an absolutely bizarre experience when we arrived, figured my girlfriend and I would try this place out due to the great reviews, but as soon as we walked in something seemed to be a miss. Host was sitting down eating, and no one was manning the host stand- weird cluttered decor and not to mention no one was there. Server approached and asked abrasively- “Why are you coming out to eat so late?” Without even introducing or saying anything- at that point I said “Oh, are you closed? No problem we can leave.” But said server insisted on us staying but again inquired” I just want to know why you’re eating here so late” When we replied that we work late, he asked if we wanted to start with drinks. So we left then and there. My girlfriend and I work in fine dining so we weren’t sure if this was just an attempt to gauge the customer experience with a cultural barrier, but it was rude...
