Breens Cafe — Restaurant in Worcester

Very unwelcoming bartender and unfriendly customers!!! I arrived there at midnight after work...wanted to relax with 2 glasses of red wine.

I walked in and no one said hello. The bartender came up to me and the first thing he said was " I just called last call!" No hello, how you doing? Lack of customer service, and maybe racist/prejudice?

I'm Hispanic, and a beautiful woman indeed. You'd think they'd want to keep me there? At least welcome me and not act as if they're doing me a favor?

This is Worcester for you. Full of ignorant/classless people! And btw I looked them up & it says they're open until 2am!

I don't need to hang around worcester trash, so I'm better off.

My advice: if you're Hispanic, black, Indian... Ethnic period! Don't go there. Give your business to a place who understands customer service and treats everyone with kindness & respect!!!

Oh another thing; I went to pay with my ATM Visa card and the bartender said they don't take credit cards!!! For real? Talk about being more prejudice and assuming wrong.

The place was lucky an Olympia Fitness Star/Fitness model/athlete like me even walked into...

Update, 1/14/22: Prices were changed in the last couple of months, maybe due to popularity or other, but....but.... not price is no longer a one-up on other restaurant Choices. Now, for a steak n' cheese sub plus a delicious burger, it's going to run you over $20:(. So goes the saying, nothing good last forever...sadly. No star taken away, however, quality has not suffered and quantity is still sufficient.

Man.... the hype on the steak and cheese was real. And the burger, as big as they say, and delicious! The grinder was packed, and let me tell you about the bread...wow. super soft and delicious, the onions were sweet and delicious as well. I pleasantly enjoyed my order. My only gripe is there isn't a menu available outside of the establishment. But, it's likely because it is a bar. This makes it tricky to place an order. The gentleman who was at the bar was friendly. Ordering food from a bar isn't exactly my scene, but if other items are as good as these were....well, i know where to get my steak and cheese fix from. Soooo good, and plenty...

Okay so I go sit down at a table; there are three waiters/waitresses. No one greets me. No one asks if I want something to drink. I sat at the table for over 20 minutes with no one asking if I want a menu or anything. I had to go up to the bar to find out that you can only order food and drinks at a certain section in the bar. When taking my order there was no eye contact with the waitress. I asked for french fries and they gave me a bag of Ruffles without telling me that they don’t have or serve french fries. The burger meat was unseasoned although cooked well done, had no crispiness or good taste; they obviously do no use a binding agent like eggs in their burger meat nor any amount of salt or pepper. The roll was from the grocery store just some really squishy, easily sogged up roll. Never coming back again, good riddance. It looked like the local people were having a good...
