A very nice playground with respectful and attentive parents and kids alike. An excellent view of the water if you want to take a walk or sit and relax, picnic tables for lunches, benches all throughout the area, a separately fenced area for smaller children, though larger children will still enjoy playing with some if that equipment it never seems to cause issue. My only 2 complaints would be the parking lot is small and will only hold about 18 or 20 cars so you may end up parking on the street side and also they should have an accessible bathroom or port-a-potty or something.. if it's a playground designed for ages 3+ they should have SOMEWHERE you could change a pull-up or take care of an emergency/accident with a child. The main parking area provides immediate access to a fenced children’s play area with soft surfaces, public toilets (only open during park hours), and a small cafe primarily for beverages. A short path leads to the edge of the Coes Reservoir and a path —- one way leading to a beach area and the other to a boardwalk (terminating at Columbus Park). Read moreThis a wonderful new park. There is plenty of parking. Lots of benches and tables to sit at, while kids play. There are play sets for younger and older kids. There is also a walking path by the pond. I would give it five but, my son hurt himself on a price of play equipment. He got hot in the head with t he e nut on a bolt, it was on one of the view finder binocular things. Another kid got the bottom of it while he was looking through the top and the metal not got him right in the forehead. I'm not sure why that can't be flush. Otherwise, there park is...
