So McDonald's is rolling out that new system where you place your own orders. Let's give you my 5 minute experience at this particular McDonald's location. Walk into the newly renovated McDonald's on Grafton street and then there were people behind the counter as if they were going to take your order and then when we and 2 other customers where trying to order, they pointed us to the self ordering kiosk. I look at the kiosk and then really notice that they don't take cash. So I ask an employee "If I want to pay with cash, where do I go"? Girl says I need to take the order to the front counter, after I complete my order to pay with cash...... What the heck is the point of that system if I eventually have to go up to the front counter to pay with cash. Is it that much of a pain to take someones order if they already know what they want? Here is my real issue with this system. The system seems it was designed for the people to order their own meals, which in the long run, enables employee efficiency. This system works in a perfect world where everyone is computer literate (literate in general) and the employees are top notch. This exists somewhere but I have never seen a by the book employees at a fast food restaurant with high pride in working just shy of minimum wage. In the grand scheme of things more money is being wasted by implementing this system and it basically says humans don't need to interact with one another which is...
Read moreWhat do you expect? Its a McDonalds you're not getting white glove treatment. Theres a young gentleman at this particular one who deserves a raise, promotion, or something. He is the ONLY reason i gave 5 stars, he owns 4 and 1/2 of them. While the world around him were consumed with theirselves while working. Being on phones, hiding from the drive thru window/ order here spots. Not a lot of smiling or positivity. Mind you theyre all working at mcdonalds so im not expecting them to be jumping for joy, that line of work can be so hard and i get that. When this young man turned to hand me my food he, smiled, doubled checked price and order, asked me to make sure a straw was in the bag for a drink, proper eye contact and just a great demeanor over all. I needed to ask his name, he said Chris. If anyone that can do anything about this i ask you to do so. Hes the hardest working one at the Grafton st one by the plaza. Seeing such drive, focus and zeal in a not so perfect atmosphere it would really be a shame to loose such leadership material. Thank you CHRIS for the outstanding service. I hope this sees your superiors and they act accordingly because you my friend deserve it for being that small light in a dark room. Hope ya go...
Read moreI went to the drive thru with my friend to get mobile orders for the both of us, not only when we were trying to figure out our orders the person at the speaker rudely said “can you speak up?!” We finished our order and moved on, when we got to the second window the First Lady was amazing, had to get someone to help out which is totally fine, the manager (and older woman who seemed lost and rude to her worker) that came to help however was also incredibly rude, I was handed my drink and my friends food. I showed my phone to the manager for about five seconds, after returning my phone to the car I tell her what I ordered. She states “you’re moving too fast, I just need the code” after saying the code and showing it to her again, she asks rudely “what was it for?” Im confused at this point because i gave her all the information she needed but apparently it wasn’t enough. I repeated my order one last time. I’m a driver for grubhub and a constant customer here so to get this level of service is absolutely unacceptable, especially to one of...
