Just left yummys very disappointed. I ordered a voucher from Groupon which clearly states their hibachi menu. Bought the voucher, made a reservation and was on time.
As i was reading the menu I noticed they had crossed the noodles out of the hibachi description with white paint. I laughed and double checked what i had paid for. When the server came to take our order I asked him about the noodles being crossed out. He looked at me and said the word noodles were never there... When clearly its on the menu in front of me shining through the white paint.
He asked me to show him the menu online as if i was lying. I showed him the menu, he then yelled across to the owner. The owner explained to me that had made a change and they are not honoring what is offered online.
I laughed it off, fine ill pay for the damn noodles or rice. Lets just eat. I wanna try this place, heard great things!
Our chef rolls on out with our food starts handing out the sauces making conversation.... Yes lets eat!
Nahhhht.
Another couple came in, the chef didnt want to have to clean two flat tops.. So forget my reservation, the fact I'm hungry, I've been called a liar, on top of that now i can wait.
After we have been served our drinks our appetizers food rolled out etc. Chef rolls it all back into the kitchen with out saying a SINGLE WORD.
It takes a lot for for me leave a restaurant. I will never return and i do not reccomend this place to anyone. I didnt even try the food, the management and customer service was enough for me to be left with a bad taste...
Read moreAfter I received my food, I started to take a glance around the restaurant and I noticed that I am the ONLY person in here holding a fork, when I asked why does everyone else have chopsticks and I have a fork, the lady stated it’s because they have sushi, then I pointed out that a few did not have sushi, the lady decided she wanted to play with my intelligence again, and stated they had sushi before. CLEARLY there is a table that does not have anything that is sushi, it is assumed that because they are Japanese that they do not enjoy using a fork, and that because I know how to use a fork that I should be given the fork, but if chopsticks are optional as most places present, then it would come with the rest of meal. It was assumed that because I am black, I would prefer a fork. This is obvious because every white person in here has chopsticks!! She said if I wanted chopsticks then I should’ve asked for them. But before the other lady stated it’s because they have sushi. The other lady stated it’s because they are Japanese……. Okay the food was not great and it all tasted the same, the chicken (which was tough), the steak, and the shrimp (which was also overcooked), the rice was super salty, and the vegetables were overcooked after the discord I asked for a to-go box that I will not be eating but giving away to someone that is worse off or willing to eat this somewhat of a meal. $40 for this meal, a beer, and uncultured service is not a good deal at all....
Read moreI’m giving a two star rating only because the food was prepared well, other than that it was the worst dinning experience I’ve ever had. Very rude servers, the hibachi was rushed, the food was cooked well but not full of flavor. This is my first ever review and only because it was the very worst service I have ever received. I’ve never felt so belittled and insulted at a place that should work to cater and entertain. The fact that 18% gratuity was included was slap in the face on top of the poor service we recieved. Multiple people complained about the service and the lack of care taken when preparing the food. I will never recommend and I will never go back to this...
