Rainbow Shops — Local services in Worcester

I have to give props to this Rainbow! I haven’t been to this store since I was in high school in the 90s. I needed a last minute white outfit, like really last minute…I found out at 6:30pm that I needed this for the next morning.

I went to a few other stores but since it’s after Labor Day, there’s not much in stock for white clothes, not that are displayed or accessible anyways, and I didn’t have time to dig.

I saw Rainbow and decided to pop in and see what they had and they knocked it out of the park. I got a whole white outfit (pants, shirt, cardigan) and matching sunglasses for under $30 and one of the women there walked around the store with me showing me all the white items and also picked out the glasses for me. She was truly incredible!

The only reasons I am rating 4 instead of 5 stars is because you can’t try anything on in the store and because when they cashed me out they left a security tag on one of the items, but it didn’t sound the alarm when I left the store, so I had to go back to have them remove it the same night. I wouldn’t give any stars if I could. My mother came down to visit and wanted to shop for some clothing. So I took her to rainbow in Worcester. My mom tried on a kimono looking piece and looked in the mirror. And not sure if it was the manager but she sent one of the employees to tell us out loud that because of COVID we can’t try on clothing and that if it didn’t fit we can buy it and return it. I understand the whole COVID thing. But to be spoken to loudly in front of other people and rudely I think it’s very unprofessional. You should treat customers good so that they come back to shop. Not to mention that we purchased a few hundred dollars in things. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to this location. The employees are rude as well as the manager, nobody approaches to help finding items. They just approach people because they think they are stealing or to yell at them for trying things on. And the manager was not wearing any face mask to top it off for someone who is so worried...

The worst store you can deal with for many reasons, including: First: If you have a store credit, they will take your money if you do not cash it within a year. Second: The discounts, if the size is not suitable, you cannot get it back at all. Third: If you discover a rip or defect in the clothes, you cannot get it back, and this is clear and blatant fraud. Fourth: If you lose your receipt, you cannot change the size of the clothes, even if they are new. Most importantly, all of these problems are caused by the fact that they do not have a fitting room. They do not make a fitting room and do not allow returns or exchanges of the item. I will never deal with them, even though I love their merchandise, but every time they commit fraud and my rights are lost to buyers for reasons and mistakes resulting...
