I recently witnessed a challenging situation at Spectrum at 68 Stafford st, and I must commend one of their employees for handling it with remarkable professionalism and poise.
As I was waiting for assistance, a visibly upset customer began arguing loudly with both myself and one of the employees. Despite the customer's escalating frustration, the employee remained calm and composed throughout the interaction. He patiently listened to the customer's concerns, empathized with their frustrations, and tried his best to resolve the issue.
Despite the customer becoming increasingly agitated, the employee never raised his voice or responded with hostility. Instead, he maintained a professional demeanor, offering solutions and explaining company policies clearly and courteously.
What impressed me most was how the employee managed to de-escalate the situation gracefully. He respectfully asked the customer to lower their voice and assured them that their concerns would be addressed promptly. Even when tensions were high, he never lost his cool or engaged in unproductive arguments.
Eventually, the customer was encouraged to step aside momentarily to allow others to be served, and the employee continued to assist them without compromising the quality of service provided to other customers. His ability to navigate a difficult interaction while upholding the company's standards of professionalism was commendable.
While the situation was challenging, I left Spectrum impressed by the employee's handling of the matter. His professionalism and commitment to customer service were evident, and he turned what could have been a negative experience into a testament to his skill and dedication.
I appreciate the efforts of employees like him who go above and beyond to maintain a positive environment for customers and ensure that issues are resolved fairly and respectfully. The employee's name was Tylor if anyone was wondering and I definitely go back to him for...
Read moreSpectrum Store on Stafford Street to the rescue! The beginning of my Spectrum journey commenced when my new equipment showed up on my doorstep. I wish Mario and Michael would have accompanied the equipment; installing and activating the new equipment at times felt like a "Mission Impossible." Frequently, I would visit the Spectrum Store: check in on a computer, view names on a TV, and wait my turn. Mario, a relatively new Spectrum employee was patient, knowledgeable and friendly. If he wasn't sure of a topic, he would ask the experienced tech guru Michael for assistance. Heck, I got to learn about Mario's family and Michael shared a great tip on where to buy the best fish and chips. I congratulated both workers for being customer friendly and told Mario that it takes a special Spectrum worker to meet the needs of every customer. Thanks to Mario, Michael and all the Spectrum staff I spoke with via my phone for exceeding my expectations--- I am pleased to report: Mission Accomplished.
Well, I returned to the Spectrum Store on Stafford Street, today-- Feb. 8. I had an issue with my remote...I was so excited to pair the remote with my new beautiful Smart TV. I told Magnificent Mario, as a competitor, I spent a lot of time and effort by myself working on one aspect of a dysfunctioning remote. Frankly, I may be the dysfunctioning one! Well, Mario welcomed me ("Boss"), then did a Google search and gave me his card with some code numbers to try when I get home. I am pleased to report "again" - - Mission...
Read moreRead moreSome companies set out to employ people with strong customer service skills who actually enjoy their work and helping other people. Then there Spectrum that appears to search for the most unhelpful people who have no desire for any positive outcome in any interaction. One word -- TOXIC. The staff at this 68 Stafford Street exemplify toxicity well. It's obvious that at the end of the day, they have seen perhaps 20 customers but only truly helped 5 or 6 selflessly. The employees seem to be proud of NOT helping you at all ("It's a one hour wait...go to UPS and drop off...the system is down...we don't look at ABCD here"). Conveniently, the check-in device at the entrance is down, so even if one arrives early, the employees walk around to whomever they prefer to check them in manually regardless of who arrived first. Some customers are courteous enough to point out they'd only just arrived. Hollow, disagreeable, unaccommodating, ill-natured, discourteous and unpleasant staff at this location who are proud of turning people away at a whim. I can picture them sitting in their cars after work, relishing their "power" unaware of life's karmic cycle -- every day they work at NOT helping customers is just as miserable as the day before. So glad Verizon Fios is finally available in Worcester, and that I don't have to deal with Spectrum's toxicity anymore in person or...
