I would give this review one star if it weren’t for the cannoli dessert. It was probably one of the better cannolis I’ve tried. The pizza was also good, nothing special really just a little salty. For appetizers we got french fries, the stacked eggplant, and the bruschetta. The fries were actually very good but similar to bowling alley fries (aka good and salty). The bruschetta tasted burnt and the tomatoes tasted like nothing, also I don’t know if anyone there went to culinary school but the onions for it where chopped so poorly it was uncomfortable to eat. The “eggplant” was probably the worst part of our meal. There was zero eggplant in it. Like absolutely nothing. It just tasted like a stale salt less uncooked fried dough in equally unsalted red sauce. It was so awful. Also they didn’t have lemonade as a drink option, only alcoholic drinks and Pepsi products. They also served all of their sides like ketchup or red pepper flakes in small plastic containers which was an utter waste of plastic and disappointing to see they couldn’t take the extra effort and replace it with reusable glass containers like the use for the parmesan cheese. We called im advance as well to make sure we didn’t need reservations and the person on the phone said today it was “walk in only” but when we arrived the first thing we were asked is if we had a reservation and that the wait would be about 20 minutes. Overall I will not be...
Read moreWe went because my husband wanted lasagna. We walked in and no one greeted us. We had to go to the bar and ask if someone would seat us. go seat yourself. The "waiter" came to the table wearing sweatpants and looked like he had not shaved in days. He seemed partly interested at first, but that went away quickly. We ordered 2 waters, a coffee and a tea. No one brought cream or sugar we had to ask and then the cream came and later a woman came by and dropped 3 sugars on the table. When my husband went and asked for sugar substitute none could be found. We ordered a garden salad with steak tips, a lasagna and 2 meatballs. We told him we were going to share everything. We were never given plates to share our food, extra napkins, or any attention really. We could have used more water. What we received was a garden salad that the cucumbers were floppy and it had balsamic all over. I asked where the Steak tips were and he told me they come separate with rice. We didn't really understand what happened. Come to find out we were given a dinner of steak tips and rice which we never ate. The food was luke warm at best. The best part was the lasagna. It had too much one kind of seasoning which we could not identify. We were hoping that Pepe's would be a new wonderful place to dine. Without a doubt we were disappointed and said to each other, "We're not going to go back there...
Read morewent here for lunch, i got the carbonara and it was terrible. it had no flavor and the noodles were undercooked. i told the waiter i didn't like it and he said "have you never had carbonara? did you think it was different?" i said yeah i just don't like it he says "this is real carbonara straight from italy" and said he could not take it off the bill. i told him it was okay i just wouldn't eat it, and then he comes back later on and offers a pizza instead which i agreed too. the pizza was pretty good but he still charged me for the pasta which was more expensive than the pizza. when it came time for the bill, we just wanted to split it two ways, he agrees and then comes back with one bill saying he couldn't split it but can do it with two cards. he comes back and my friend tells him what to put on what card and he laughs and says "guys i know" then says to "figure it out ourselves because of the tax", we ended up just having to put it on one card. i will say they have very good portions but other than that the service was bad and food wasn't that great. wouldn't...
