I was actually a sever here back in 2013. I've been visiting every so often. This time, it's been a year or two. I was informed they don't season any of the food except for the meat with MSG due to people's having low sodium tolerances, which makes zero sense as MSG is full sodium and most people go soleley for the meats. I got the sirloin, which was very tasty but was full of fat. All of salad bar food is bland and was confirmed to have no salt, pepper, vinegar, or any flavorings other than oil. Under cooked yuca, rice, beans, chicken.... everything is done bland as people "have said" they dobt like salty food which I think is just an excuse for nobody putting love into the dishes. It is a mockery to authentic Brasilian food that is full of flavor. It's essentially a money grab for the price of $15 a plate for chopped veggies and low quality fatty meats. The waiters and waitresses just stand around chatting in the drink corner, offering no help while accepting tips for only bringing drinks to a table and packing to go orders. I called the store hoping I could get a partial refund, I was told that there were customers coming in and they were busy and could not take my call and I could not get the manager's name or number. I paid $50 for two can soda and two plates that were not even remotely full. I'll never return and constantly tell people not...
Read moreou have three ordering options:
First time here today; pulled it up on Yelp and decided to stop in. Not quite sure what to order, but not willing to part with $28-per-person I looked at the "salad" bar to see if it was worth staying. YES. They typically stock one meat as part of the salad bar, and today it was delicious skin-on baked-but almost-fried chicken. Rice and beans, with two different types of rices (plain and maybe saffron?), and two different types of beans (pinto and black beans). French fries, fried plantains, and some other fried starches, stuffed grape leaves made on site, a chili-pepper bar with several hot chilis to try, plus numerous salads including carrot, potato, cabbage, broccoli, sliced beets, and much more. The wife and I are notoriously cheap, and felt we got a good value.
That said, most people seemed to get the pay-by-the-pound, which includes the Churrascaria meats. Unless you're a huge eater, it's probably a better way to go than the pricy all-you-can-eat option, plus nets you access to all them meats. Beef, more beef, chicken pork, and even lamb. All looked extremely tasty, and I'm sure I'll try that on...
Read moreI used to be a waitress here and now that I no longer work here I think customers should know that I've seen rats in the kitchen and in the ladies bathrooms, there are also cockroaches in the bar area. I've had a costumer walk to me and show me what looked like a larva on his plate that was in the yellow rice, l've eaten beans that had already went bad from the salad bar and all of this happens because the owners hardly throw any food away, every left over is used on the next day, everything is reheated and that's why the menu is the same everyday, so nothing is thrown away. Customers should also know that the "fresh squeezed orange juice” is actually one piece of Orange blended with orange juice concentrate (which they charge almost $7for). I just think it’s unfair for people to pay so much money on food that isn’t really that great. Regarding the location as for work, if anyone is interested, it’s not worth it, the owner really is a douche bag and if you’re not emotionally strong then you will likely leave work crying for the disrespect that he shows you in front of employees and costumers. If you want to eat good Brazilian food with variety you should head down to Terra Brasilis in Shrewsbury. Their food is great and they Actually have real fresh squeezed...
