Phoenician Hookah Bar — Restaurant in Worcester

Even without posting my experience (the written description), I have been blamed that I am totally supporting my friends review. Now I will describe my experience of the place. The reason for two stars are two-fold. The food and sheesha was good. I have had better and worse. The second reason is a bit longer to explain.

We reserved for 3 people and got a table with which we were not happy (by the end of our visit my knees were paining from the low table) and asked for a separate one. We were told that they were for a bigger party (table could occupy 4 but might merge with an adjacent one) and we said ok to that. Later we noticed that for the period of 8 pm to 10 pm (maybe till 10.30) no one was occupying it. My friend went to talk with the person who seated us and was told that the person had informed me and my other friend it was booked for 11 pm and we could use it before the reserved time. Which is what my friend wrote that the person had lied about.

I was ready to give another chance to them and see if my experience would have been better than before. But being blamed by the Phoenician, makes me think twice before booking at them.

Edit: Note to Owner: I am ready to talk things out, explain my side of the story (you just read 1 review and heard your staff's side) and give another chance to Phoenician. But blindly accusing me of supporting my friend...

Best hookah in Worcester hands down. Always uses top quality 100% coconut coals. You can tell it’s top quality when the coal doesn’t ash white but ash brown, the natural color of coconut shells with no fillers or additives. Shisha always packed to perfection, never too tight or loose. Airflow perfect. Phoenician hires a personnel that handles the hookah, and the person comes around every few minutes or so ensuring the hookah is always at the perfect heat. If it’s not, they either swap it out, or slightly adjust it. I go to many other hookah spots and I’m sitting there with the same coal for an hour, and some with the synthetic trash. Try their “Phoenician” flavor which is their house recipe, with the orange head, not on the menu. Pineapple head on point too. Drinks always on point, with attentive waitress. Albert and Eddie runs a tight ship, everyone rolls up their sleeves here on a busy night. I was treated HORRIBLE and I was disrespected. I mean one of the reviews the OWNER replied to one of the customers “Your review made all the staff at Phoenician laugh because your a joke! Maybe that’s what they do at your job use Cheap liquor and Marry Bottles because you sound like you work at one of these bars ! FYI we don’t have well liquor on our menu neither use it! Our Customers knows who we are and the quality of drinks we have and would laugh at ur fat lies” this response in itself kind of proves my point. Was that response even necessary? What kind of “professional” business even talks that way lol what a freaking turn off and if you feel like the customer is lying why the hell even respond?
