My friend and I came here for brunch. There was a short wait to be seated. Once we were seated, it took a while for anyone to come over to us. It took an exceptionally long time for them to deliver our coffees after ordering. We ordered one caramel brûlée latte (hot) which only came in one size, which they called “unique size.” We also ordered one medium iced latte. Both came in tall glass mugs (same size) and were covered in gold dust. We ordered our food once they gave us our drinks and then waited 45 minutes - an hour for the food to come out. During that hour, no one stopped to check on us. We also never received water. When we stopped a waiter to ask for water, they brought over 2 tiny plastic cups of water. We saw that other tables had large mason jars of water, so that was odd. My friend ordered one cheese bread with dolce de leche as an appetizer. It was overflowing with dolce de leche which was very overpowering. It also included an overwhelming amount of gold dust. For our main entrees, we ordered the buratta toast and the tapioca with strawberries and Nutella. We requested the toast be gluten free and the waiter looked quite confused. Our food finally arrived and was cold and hard, as if it had been sitting out for quite some time. It also did not taste good. Again, it was drowning in gold dust. When we ordered, we stated that we would be sharing both items. When they brought the food out, we asked for two small plates and were told by the waiter that this would “be a challenge” and the “request was unusual.” There were two birthday celebrations while we were there. They brought over their food with sparklers in it. When the first person blew out the sparklers it smelled like smoke from a firework in the whole restaurant. The second person had a larger sparkler which then popped off, making a loud bang/popping noise. It was very startling - my friend actually yelped at the sound. We only took about two bites each of both entrees and then sat for another 30 minutes before anyone came over to our table. We expressed that we did not enjoy the food and would like to pay the bill and leave. The waiter said “did you at least have good conversation? We strive to make sure people have good conversation here.” This was an interesting response considering it’s a restaurant, and they weren’t concerned at all that we didn’t enjoy the food and had barely touched it. They simply gave us the bill and sent us on our way. I think they thought covering everything in gold dust would make up for the horrible service and quality of food. News flash: not all that glitters is gold. Overall they seemed extremely disorganized and super unprofessional. While the “tasty” part of their name is questionable, it sure was an “experience.” Would not recommend this restaurant and doubt it will be open much longer based on...
Read moreIt is rare that I give 5 stars across the board, but this is my second visit to this restaurant and this place truly deserves it. My first visit I had the Brazilian experience which was good enough that I had a hard time not getting it again however I really wanted to try something new. And from last time, we got the bread balls with the pesto which were a must try. It's hard to get a good pesto and this one had a very deep basil flavor that paired perfectly with the creamy cheese. And like last time, I got a specialty coffee, the almond espresso with chocolate, and it was really good. I sincerely appreciate that they offer these drinks in decaf. Many places with these types of drinks don't so I either have to have the caffeine which I don't always want, or forego the drink. That makes it the dining experience that much better. So today, they greeted us with a complimentary croissant, made on premises. It is the best croissant we have had in years: since our trip to France. We also had the pineapple mint drink which was phenomenal. It was perfect for a hot summer day. For entrees this time, we both had a form of ham and cheese: his on a croissant and mine in puff pastry. Neither disappointed. In addition, my husband wanted to ensure he tried something Brazilian so we got a Brazilian steak and cheese. While we were stuffed so couldn't eat much, we did try a bite while it was fresh and it was excellent. Other steak and cheeses don't come close: it's in a league of its own. Finally we chose the key lime cheesecake and roasted banana with cinnamon for dessert. I don't like cheesecake but this was light and tasty so I actually liked it. And the roast banana was very different and quite good. Our waitress, Anna, was very nice and helpful so the service helped the overall experience. As we are foodies, we take dining very seriously and therefore don't review every place we try: only those we could truly recommend. And this one is truly a must try - it...
Read moreFrom the moment I stepped into Tasty Bistro, I knew I was in for a wonderful evening. The warm, inviting atmosphere set the tone, but what truly made my experience memorable were the outstanding servers, Isaque and Aracely. Both went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, and their professionalism combined with genuine warmth really stood out.
I had quite a few questions about the menu, and not once did they make me feel rushed or like I was asking too much. Instead, they patiently answered everything in detail, offering helpful suggestions that showed not only their knowledge of the dishes but also their desire for me to enjoy my meal to the fullest. That kind of service is rare, and it instantly made me feel like a valued guest rather than just another customer.
As for the food—absolutely amazing. Every dish that came to the table was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. It was clear that fresh ingredients and attention to detail were at the heart of each recipe. From the appetizers to the main course, everything exceeded my expectations. The balance of seasoning, the tenderness of the proteins, and the creativity in presentation all came together to create a dining experience that felt both comforting and elevated.
What impressed me most, though, was how seamlessly Isaque and Aracely worked as a team. They kept the table attended to without being intrusive, anticipated needs before I even asked, and checked in at just the right moments. Their positive energy and attentiveness elevated an already excellent meal into a truly exceptional evening.
I highly recommend Tasty Bistro not just for the delicious food, but also for the exceptional service. Isaque and Aracely deserve recognition for making my visit unforgettable—I will absolutely...
