We can’t say enough good things about our experience with Mechanics Hall and especially Olivia, who was such a steady and thoughtful guide throughout our planning process.
From the start, we were drawn to the hall’s stunning architecture and rich history. My husband really wanted our wedding to take place somewhere with meaning and character. He had his heart set on a historic venue, and being able to get married in Worcester, where so much of our story has taken place, made it even more special. Mechanics Hall completely lived up to that dream and then some.
Planning a wedding is no small task, and to be honest, we were overwhelmed more often than not. That’s where Olivia came in. She was kind, patient, incredibly organized, and always seemed to know exactly what we needed, even when we didn’t. She helped us stay grounded, made great suggestions, and worked so hard to bring our (sometimes scattered) ideas together into something cohesive and beautiful. It truly felt like she was in our corner every step of the way.
The day itself was everything we hoped it would be. The hall looked absolutely breathtaking - grand and elegant, yet warm and full of heart. Everything flowed so smoothly, and we were actually able to relax and enjoy the day because we knew we were in such good hands.
We had high hopes for this venue, and it did not disappoint. If you’re looking for a place that’s as meaningful as it is beautiful, with a team that really cares, Mechanics Hall is it. We’ll be forever grateful to Olivia and everyone there for helping make our wedding...
Read moreThis is an historic building at which numerous events have taken place. The location is in downtown Worcester. There is a parking lot nearby and on-street parking is available if you can find an empty spot. There is a lot of walking to get to the main event room. While there is an elevator, it is located at the rear of the building and requires a long walk from the front entrance and negotiating stairs, difficult for me because of an ankle injury. There is a rear entrance at the same level of the elevators, but who generally enters at the rear? The hall is beautiful, surrounded by paintings of local historic figures. it reminded me of Symphony Hall in Boston, only smaller. The acoustics were fine for the event I attended, an awards ceremony for Worcester State...

Amy Sklar and her team were fantastic to work with. We arrived early to set up in Washburn Hall, a beautiful and inviting space on the second floor. Everything went smoothly – setup, audio/video, catering, and more. The venue’s volunteers helped greet our guests as they arrived through the main building entrance. The event itself was a big hit with our community of early childhood professionals and advocates. The size and feel of the room was perfect. Thank you again Mechanic’s Hall! We will recommend you to our partners and we hope to be back for a future event or to check...
