The Boynton Restaurant & Spirits — Restaurant in Worcester

Went here about a month ago after an evening hockey game. We needed some real food from a place opened late. Needless to say when we got there. The place was packed with a small wait list around 1040pm. The place had a good restaurant atmosphere, busy... staff working all around. So they seated us after about 10 to 15 minutes wait and from there they were consistent with coming to check into with us frequently. So we started off with an appetizer and some drinks. The appetizer was Pita Chips $9, Deep fried Greek Pita is topped with our famous cheese blend, melted and served with sour cream and salsa... it was really good! Would definitely get it again.

So for the drinks the girlfriend ordered the mudpie martini which was amazingly delicious but very strong and for myself I got the blood orange rum punch which was delicious as well but not as strong as hers.

As for the main course, I got the Marinated Beef Tips $26, 10oz Pan Seared Sirloin Beef Tips, topped with mushroom and caramelized onion demi-glace with Mashed potatoes and Broccoli. -the dish is one I dont see to often, the tips were done perfect with a night pink center and the demiglaze was delicious, perfect amount on the tips and a little left for the mashed potatoes. I would definitely get this again..

the girlfriend got the Chicken & Broccoli Alfredo $21, Fresh chicken tenders, garlic, and broccoli in a creamy parmesan sauce with penna -as expected with an Alfredo, it was made good, no issues, but you know what your expecting with this dish

Overall, the staff did a good job. The atmosphere was good and the food and drinks were great to.. I would totally go back if were ever out that way...

My sister and I went to the Boyton last night to celebrate. We stood in the waiting area 3 minutes after seating for dining closed and about 3 to 4 waiters/waitress saw and ignored us as we stood there for assistance. We proceeded to leave and order our food for take out at the front, and the order taker allowed us to order about 6 minutes after they stopped taking orders. I requested if we could eat our take out on an outside table without a waitress or waiter so that my sister and I could at least enjoy our meal under the pretty yellow string lights. We were told by that same order taker that everything was shutting down although the restaurant was full of people from the inside, had many free tables on the outside and closed at 11pm. My sister and I are regulars at the Boyton, my sister for 6 years and myself for 2 years. We always recommend and take friends and family to this restaurant. Upon various changes leading up to this encounter last night, we feel that the workers are unhappy and are not willing to practice hospitality if it doesn't benefit them. After we ate our food, which was delicious for the most part, my sister and I couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness and disappointment for the way we were treated, especially as loyal customers on a day of celebration. Needless to say, we won't be coming back...

After the experience we just had here, I would leave zero stars if I could. We were sat around 12:15 and there were four empty tables surrounding us that were all sat AFTER us. An hour later and we still didn't have food, but every one of those four tables had already eaten and were already getting ready to leave. We voiced our concerns to the waitress and she blamed the kitchen staff for the hold up on our food which didn't make sense since all the other tables had gotten theirs. More time passed and we told our waitress once again that we weren't happy, but she still blamed the kitchen and left it at that. We asked to speak to the manager and the kitchen manager came to the table and blamed the problem on our waitress...he said the kitchen wasn't the problem and that our waitress had forgotten to put in our order and that the order had just been put in 8 minutes ago when we had already been there for over an hour...so basically everyone was blaming someone else, but it actually fell back on the waitress. The manager apologized but didn't offer any sort of compensation...we paid the full tab which is pretty ridiculous since we waited so long for our food. I wish we had just paid for our drinks and walked out because the food wasn't even good. We won't be back because this experience...
