Yesterday we went to Salisbury Mansion, and it was marvelous! Thanks to the knowledge and enthusiasm of the Docents who gave our tour, it was truly an experience of history in it's most accessible form, through the architecture, furnishings, and the story of the people who lived and worked there, from 1772-1851, and even after, the building itself undergoing many changes until efforts to restore it and create this extraordinary historical experience, I feel we learned so much, and still, I want very much to return soon and learn more! Read moreI've got the ticket when I have visited the Historical museum. At first I was unsure because I had to knock but everyone was very nice. They were about to decorate the house for christmas (Although the Salisburys were Calvinists). We were three people at the tour. Our tour guide was really quirky but she knew everything about it. I got confused by all these different names but our tour guide told us everything even in a funny (sometimes judging) way. I love how the house looks!
