I normally go to the Orland , Burr Ridge location cuz I’ve heard horrible things about this location , Oak lawn I’ve lived in that area my whole life & needless to say I shouldn’t of reserved a table with my son that as I said on the open table what we were celebrating was my son first time becoming a father & as I a new grandma. I made a reservation for 2 at 5:15 pm. Sat about 20 mins later , at the corner. Of the dining room near the outside ! Our server if you want the name I would be happy to share that information but for now I keep name off the review page. HORRIBLE SERVICE, as I myself being in the service industry as what we pay to have good service I left a cash tip. I wasn’t going to leave a penny. , my son & I sat without water , for 20 mins , then when the waiter decided to come back to our table with 2 dirty glasses that I myself cleaned with the napkin that was given in the beginning of him servicing the table we had no silverware to eat, as we were still waiting for my bottle of wine to celebrate my son we had no wine 40 mins later , after the 20 mins we waited for water , I had to wave down 3 different employees one being the floor manager which NEVER came back to the table , a host that was just walking by to ask where the server was with my bottle of wine since I pay a membership fee to get my bottles of wine we received our appetizer, but like I said no silver ware to eat with. Ask a lovely older women that pulled off another table handed them to us with her bare hands at the part where we put in our mouths. Disgusting!!! Then this server comes back and forth asking how we’re doing I said I am waiting for my bottle of wine he said oh I know I’m still waiting. Left again. So normally we get water with our bread when asked , then our wine while we decide on our appitizer we received everything before I even got my bottle of wine. I am so beyond mad and embarrassed that my son had to have his first time EVER at Cooper’s hawk such a terrible experience, then we finally order after 2 hours I should of left but my son and his wife had a child 3 weeks ago and this was a location near him in case he needed to be home for his wife and son. We get our food , omg how disgusting I am so embarrassed to write all this cuz being a server and working for Cooper’s hawk luckily not that location I work at Burr Ridge embarrassing to write this the food was cold disgusting my son ordered a Filet MR he received it Med Well. Since my son has manners I said no I’m sending it back he said no mom it’s ok. The potatoes were cold , and so old the top was browning with a film over it. Broccoli well how could u go wrong. As for mine Risotto short rib risotto was cold hard asked for crackle pepper server grabbed it he was like oh it’s empty I said let me see I do it the dispenser was full of dust & u never guess EMPTY I said forget it. I used the pepper on the table he server said you sure ? I said yes he never checked back in never offered another bottle. The worse experience ever when he handed my receipt I had no pen so I never signed off on the bill but u sure did charge it at the end of the nite. I also had a money off in my acct to use and I had to ask him to apply it when that’s what should of been done in the beginning of the service was look up my acct put it on the table topper wit my name and told us the number of bottles , and tastings and certificates I had he did none of this. So he took back the receipt and applied the certificate to wait another 30 mins we had a 3-1/2 hr dining experience from HELL. So disappointed and angry to even pay for such HORRIBLE SERVICE,HORRIBLE FOOD , HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! I will not EVER go back to that location and looking around I could see why it was such a TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE THANKS COOPERS HAWK. I JUST MIGHT cancel my membership such a disgusting location and...

Over the weekend, my fiancé and I wanted to have dinner so we stopped into Cooper’s hawk. Upon arrival, we spoke with the hostess and notified them that my fiancé has a severe gluten allergy, we were given a gluten free menu and were shown to our table. When the server checked in we notified him about the sever allergy and all was well. We placed our drink orders and food as well. When the food arrived that’s when things took a turn for the worst.
I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs, and asked for no burata, my fiancé ordered the gluten free Parmesan crusted chicken breast with mashed potatoes. When the food came out my dish has burata on it, the restaurant was a little busy so a detail so small I can see how it was forgotten, but my fiancé got her dish and it seemed as if maybe it was the wrong dish. I checked in with the server and he stated “ mhmmmm I think it’s gluten free” I notified him that the plate was off the gluten free menu and he said “ oh then yeah it’s gluten free” so my replacement plate came back out and my fiancé and I started to eat out meal.
While eating, my fiancé started to get worried the server didn’t know what he was talking about, so again I called the server over and said “ are you sure everything is gluten free” again, he stated “ yes I’m 100% sure it is” again we felt like he didn’t know what he was talking about we asked “ are you sure” he stated “ yes I made sure it was gluten free” so my fiancé took a couple more bites and she still felt worried. So, I asked for the manager.
I notified the manager about the dish and after a brief description she stated “ it’s not gluten free” she I showed the manager to our table and she looked at our plate and without hesitation she stated “ yeah that is definitely not gluten free” that’s when it turned into a life or death situation. She wanted to be sure so she checked in with the kitchen, while this was happening my fiancé started to have some symptoms, the manager came back out and broke the news to us that nothing on the plate was gluten free. Nothing at all. My fiancé and I both looked at each other and automatically knew we had to rush to the hospital. The manager took down my fiancé information to supposedly check in on her ( she hasn’t reached out once ) what a lie to our faces. The server came back out and stated “ hey this is not my fault, I’m new and thought the kitchen would make it gluten free”
Why would you not check in with the kitchen to double or triple check like we did to see if our dish was gluten free? Why give an excuse that you are new and not ask questions? Why would the assistant GM ask for our information to blatantly lie to our faces that she cared?
I have a meeting with the city today and can’t wait to explain what happened. My lawyer is livid and legal action will be taken. Amanda young is the assistant general manager and I hope that she learns a listen from this by giving a better training to staff, server was named remy ( if you want great service or just up to par service at all, do not go to him he was horrible, for someone being new he didn’t even write down our order) but this place should be shut down for the health violations...
