KALEY was extremely unprofessional. HORRIBLE customer service. Harassed and threatened me while i was having dinner with my children. The cashier that gave me my pick up order made an honest mistake and thought I had an online order didn't charge me. I was focused on her fixing a mistake with my order and I didn't realize that she didn't charge me. She was pleasant and helped me make sure I was able to carry everything out OK as I had a big order. It was honestly just an oversight on both our parts. I got home and was focusing on feeding my 3 young children. I got a call from a private number and then 2 calls from an unknown number without any voicemail. I finally had sat down to eat and I received another call. I answered it on my watch and it was a man saying it was hooters and explained that I didn't pay and that I need to return to pay the bill. I explained it was an honest mistake as the girl too forgot to charge me. I asked if I could pay over the phone because I was in the middle of eating with my kids. The man put me on the phone with Kaley who took my card number but said it didn't work after not even checking to make sure she took the number correctly and said I had to return by 9:30pm to pay (it was approximately 8:35pm at this point). I said I was still feeding my kids, but would eventually make it back tonight (they close at 11pm). She got very rude on the phone and said if I didn't make it back by 9:30pm she was calling the police to arrest me for theft. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I said I was coming back but it was not completely my fault as I tried paying over the phone and it was a mistake on the cashier as well. My husband couldn't believe how Kaley was speaking to me either. He told me to hang up as my kids could hear everything off my watch. Not even 15 mins later (8:45pm), as I was actually getting ready to return to the restaurant, I got another call. Again, it's Hooters with an Oak Lawn police officer (possibly the off duty cop on site?) on the phone double checking that I was going to return. He was nice and respectful on the phone, but explained that he called because he was told by Kaley that she heard someone yelling on my line and thought I was not going to come back. She wanted him to call me. I explained that I hung up on her because she was extremely rude and threatening me and that I was actually on my way to pay when he called. He thanked me for answering and told me no worries to take my time. My husband went with me to the restaurant and we asked to speak with the manager to explain how unbelievable the interaction with Kaley had been. We explained how she had harassed and threatened me after I explained I would return and was currently feeding my children. The manager L.B. was very apologetic for her behavior agreeing that it was a complete overreaction the way she handled the situation. I'm a regular customer for the last 13 years with large orders and have never had an issue like this before. My sons love hooters but this experience left a horrible impression on me with this location and we will not be returning. I appreciate the effort L.B. made though to apologize, but there is no way all of that happened without his knowledge. And if it did, because somehow Kaley is in some type of supervisory role? Wow. I would GREATLY reevaluate that role for her. That is no way to treat any customer. We had an issue with customer service at this location years ago and then started to travel to the Orland Park location, as a result. But we had been giving this location a try again with pick up orders. This was their 2nd chance and it was blown. Again, I do appreciate that the manager was very apologetic, but honestly, it was too little too late. I felt sick to my stomach from the whole interaction. Kaley should definitely not work in a customer service role at this time. She has a lot to learn about customer interactions. Her actions and tone with me displayed a great lack of professionalism...
Read moreSo I decided to give the hooters a 2nd chance after the terrible take out experience I had. So I went in for lunch on 2/18/18 and the service was terrible. Once we arrived we were seated as normal. Then while seated we waited roughly 15-20 minutes before anyone showed up to our table to give us water. The only reason a waitress actually came to our table was because I had to find another waitress to ask if there was a waitress that handled this table and after she spoke to the Manager it was a debate as to which waitress was working that side of the restaurant. So the manger finally brought us water and then we waited a few more minutes for the waitress to finally show up and ask us if we were ready to order. So we finally ordered our food. She goes to hangout in the back for awhile, the soup that was ordered by someone in the group was sitting at the bar as the cook called her name, but she was no where to be found. Finally she brings the soup. After a long while she brings a plate of wings, no ranch and just sets them down on the table and walks away, we had ordered more food than this. So the whole time I’m trying to get her attention she keeps going to the kitchen what seemed like she was just hanging out because she was not coming out with food or anything. Finally she brings out the rest of the wings and tater tots we ordered. And sets them and walks away. The potatoes were cold not even warm, the other wings she initially brought were cold also. I went to the manger and explained the situation and he talked to the waitress and asked us if they could remake the order. Keep in mind we had been there 1 hour already due to her not wanting to come to our table for whatever reason and waiting for our food to come out in separate portions and not to mention cold. So I told the manger we do not want to wait for them to make the food again because we had already been there a full hour. So you would think the manger would try to rectify the situation instead he makes us pay for the soup someone in my party ordered not even comp that. This place is a joke. Don’t ever go here unless you like cold food, extremely long wait times when it’s not even that busy, waitress who ignore you and just throw you food on the table and walkway while not even lettting you get a word in or ask if you need anything else and a manger who could honestly careless. I have been here three times and two out three were terrible. Needless to say this is the worst hooters I have ever been too and I will be going to other locations instead of this one. what a waste of time and money, how are they even still...
Read moreThis was my favorite Hooters for a long time...my goto spot on the southside... where I celebrate my bday every year, etc. I always tell people don't go to Orland, go to Oak Lawn! BUT... unfortunately after my last two visits I don't think I can say that anymore. One of the things I really liked about this Hooters is that I felt like they always got the small details right. The last two times I've been there they have failed terribly at the little things and just about everything. I'll just focus on this last visit which was on 1/4/25. This was a late bday celebration with family. Once being seated, no one even came to our table to greet us or take drink orders for about 10 minutes and it wasn't even that busy yet. When the girl finally did take our drink order it took another 10 to 15 minutes to get the drinks. They were alcoholic but still...cmon. Then when we get our appetizers we get cold boneless wings, we're missing the signature sauce for the fried pickles, and not enough plates for everyone. The server didn't check back with us to see if everything was good so my sister ended up walking the cold wings up to the bar for a replacement. Our server admittedly forgot to come back and take our order so we had a big gap from our apps to meal. We ordered a sandwich w/ crispy fries, boneless wings w/tots & cheese, and two salads. It took a long time. This might not have been so bad if the drinks were flowing, but flowing they were not. Our waitress stayed in the back and didn't once come see about refills for our drinks while we waited...we definitely wanted them! When the food arrived the tots were fries, no cheese, and my sandwich nowhere to be seen. When I finally did get my sandwich it had the wrong cheese and my crispy fries I wanted were soft AF. I couldn't request corrections, because as she was during about 90% of this visit, our waitress was M.I.A. I think I got a neck cramp looking around for her all night. Lol. I saw what I thought was a manager(Alexis)and wanted to express how much I love this spot, but it's going down, and that this was by far the worst visit I've ever had. She said she was just a manager in training and would relay the info to the actual manager but we never saw or heard from him. I doubt it actually happened. Just a sad sad visit and perhaps a farewell to my goto. It looks like we'll be going to Lombard or Lansing next time even if it's...
