I ended up at the Home Depot in oak lawn. I walked over to the appliance section with a pretty good idea of the appliance I was getting. I checked out the displayed to see if they had the set available. First noticed the display arrangement was kinda wonky. What do I mean by wonky? The washers and dryers were kinda all over the place. The stackable units I was looking for, the washer was in front on display paired with another washer and the dryer was by other washer and dryers that did not correspond with the LG brand and refrigerators. As I was looking, I was "greeted" by an associate who was pulling papers off the appliances. She asked if I needed help and I said "not at the moment"as I was looking for the spot where the washer might be that pairs with the dryer. Didn't wanna bother an associate I wanted to be sure it was even on the sales floor. Once I located both appliances, wonky placements, I walked over to Remy who is probably not in the best shape, walked slowly and limping, I asked for help and she sarcastically replied something like you ready now? I said yes and led her to the washer. She took the item number for the washer I selected and asked me to step over to the desk. I asked if the dryer that was on display was apart of the set and she dismissed me saying there were no dryers on display, So I went back to what I believed was the dryer and to my surprise it was in fact apart of the set as I confirmed moments ago. I've been looking at paired appliances all day so it made me unsure because the washers and dryers weren't displayed correctly I told Remy she sat silently & proceeded to put a contract together she started to ask questions, most of them I was sure about from my research but then she asked about 2 different hoses I didn't understand the difference or which was better and she replied "I don't know your pockets!" I walked away. Went to another associate Felix. He made the best impression on the customer before me, her name was Courtney, so I decided to work with him. Felix was great insightful & a joy to work with but unfortunately I held him up 45 mins past his shift and he was probably tired. I ended up getting the set I was looking for. Felix did the contract everything looked good. So we checked out! Perfect! But no! Felix forgot to add the stacking kit to the set. I explained I would be stacking them so not sure why it wasn't added. So anyway I get to my car and noticed the kit wasn't on the receipt. I go back in and this is where the incompetence comes back into play, I go back to appliances and see Remy sitting down not paying attention, I didn't even feel like mental gymnastics, so I go to the front and was greeted by a young lady who seemed to care a little bit and asked me what I needed. I said I just purchased a washer and dryer and the stacking kit was not added. She looked at my receipt saw the model information and said, I kid you not, "this is already stackable so you don't need a stacking kit" lmao đ I did not laugh at her ill advice because she advised me against all the things I researched in YouTube University! Advising to ruin a 2k washer dryer set before I even got it! At this point i say I'm probably would be needing a refund because now I'm unsure of the whole situation. I first called my husband to make sure I'm not going crazy and to calm me down. And he indeed confirmed yes I need the kit. So I go back to the associate some other slight incompetent things occurred can't recall but she did try, after the call the associate referred me "THA MANAGA" Joselin. So Joselin didn't even bother to ask me what was going on or greet me properly or try to resolve anything. So I asked if she knew what my issue was. She said no let me look at your paperwork, after looking at the paperwork she says u want a stacking kit I replied yes. Assuming they figured out which one I would need but no! No resolution. No help. I asked if there was someone available and competent to assist and NO! Joselin was so nasty and so rude. Talking over me and everything. So I went...
Read moreFrom the moment we walked in, father and I experienced a calmness in the store, the energy was bright. I quickly looked around to see the isles, floor, how stocked they shelves were as well as a quick run to the facilities. Looked around for a staff person. When I found 1, quickly asked a question that I needed answered, of course itâs a question that either relates to the department or not the staff personâs department. Staff person apologizes 1st to let me know that he/she is with a customer, I quickly then looked at the staff person, a quick question. Father takes over, ask the question, âlooking for stoppers for the bottom of the refrigeratorâ, staff person who is knowledgeable of the COMPLETE STORE, closes eyes, yells outâ, ISLE 11(middle section in the right, in the bottom shelf). FOUND IT!! The best thing about HomeDepot is that their training is all about the customer needs, professionalism, respectfulness , boundaries and mannerism. Itâs the rite training in RETAIL that most business forget to do, weird, cause CUSTOMER SERVICE IS 1ST PRIORITY IN A RETAIL ENVIRONMENT. Then go to the customer service desk, to return things we donât need, unopened, and with a receipt. Neri, the store manager, and staff person were inviting, warm, professional and respectful. Father and I relaxed, took a deep breath, knowing our boundaries, smizing then staff educated us on procedure, protocol, when father ask a question, Always professional, always respectful , the staff person, very warm and inviting, helped us get a better deal on our past purchase since we had receipt Staff Person was Amazing, energy was positive as well as an Amazing staff workers, store is clean, organized and stocked to the fullest on all the shelves, Facilities are clean, security everywhere, I mean everywhere, gave father feeling protected, safe and comfortable to keep shopping, shopping and shopping.    Read moreTerrible customer service. Bought a window AC unit, while purchasing I specifically asked Bianca, the nice cashier about the return policy (Iâve never used and AC unit before and was skeptical about efficiency) and she informed me it was 90 days. After 2 days of use, bugs would not stop entering the room, and the flaps that are supposed to prevent this will not stay closed, so I took it out and put it back on the box. Unfortunately I had a death on the family and was dealing with my family situation and by the time I got around to it, I went to the store 2 weeks later, I talked to Peter who I was told was in charge-he informed me I need to come back to the next day and talk to Miguel bc the store policy recently changed on returns, of course I complied. The next day I returned to speak with Miguel, who is a manager, he immediately shuts down the return and tells me to call customer care that he canât and will not do anything, even though the cashier specifically told me the return policy. No empathy, no care for the customer. So of course instead of arguing with someone who clearly doesnât care to help, and is smiling because he is on a management power trip with a simple return. I call customer service and talk to them for nearly an hour, and finally get to Marisol. She seemed like she like she understood where I was coming from and was going to do what she could to help but told me that Iâd get a call back in the next few days. Here we are today and she calls and tells me the claim was denied because they opened the box and said there was bugs in the unit. COMPLETE LIE. Not one person at the store touched the box, much less inspected it for bugs or damage otherwise. I told her that was a lie and she said that what the store said. Check the cameras, or someone who isnât Miguel/ Peter because clearly they are more interested on sending customers away than finding solutions. Worst Home Depot experience Iâve ever had, Iâm 10 year union carpenter and I definitely will not return to this location, and if anyone at corporate is listening Iâd be happy to provide more details and proof of the death in the family, I know Miguel doesnât care but maybe someone above them will show a little more compassion and care...
