Had lunch here two days in a row because it has good food and it’s close to my work location and had dined there before. We had a large group of coworkers dinning in those two days about 8-9 of us. We all ate and enjoyed our meals and when it came time to pay the first day everything seemed fine until they ran my card and the price total increased. I asked why it didn’t match the detailed receipt and they informed me there was an additional 1.5% charge for credit cards. I did not like the fact that they don’t mention it before hand and just run your card, but I paid the total and tipped 20%. The following day I was prepared for the 1.5% add on at the end but noticed the price was ridiculously high. When I started looking into the receipts details I notice in between the detailed items ordered there was field called “service charge” which was for the total of $52.50. As I inquired further into what this was for they told me it was gratuity. I asked them why it wasn’t at the bottom where gratuity is normally near the subtotal and tax area. They just told me they didn’t know. So that meant that I tipped them 20% the day before and they were going to get me again the following day. I did not accept these terms and I made them refund me the 20% I paid the day before and did not leave a tip the second day since it was already included. The point is they hid the gratuity and probably get a lot of customer to double tip and add an additional charge of 1.5% at the end without notifying the customer. This is very shady and I will never go back. I’d give them zero stars if I could for their shady...
Read moreStepping into Taquería Durango, you're immediately enveloped by a chill and welcoming vibe that feels like a home away from home. The cozy ambiance, complemented by friendly staff and vibrant decor, sets the perfect scene for a laid-back dining experience. It's the kind of place where you can kick back, relax, and enjoy some seriously good food. This being my first time being here i decided to keep it simple and traditional, I ordered two Asada tacos and two Al Pastor tacos, and let me tell you, each bite was a flavor explosion. The Asada tacos were packed with juicy, perfectly seasoned grilled beef that had just the right amount of char. The Al Pastor tacos, on the other hand, featured tender, marinated pork with a hint of sweetness and spice, enhanced by the pineapple bits that added a delightful tang. What really took these tacos to the next level were the homemade salsas. Each one was bursting with fresh, bold flavors that complemented the meats beautifully. Whether it was the smoky chipotle salsa or the tangy verde, every bite was a harmonious blend of taste and texture that left me wanting more. I enthusiastically recommend Taquería Durango. The flavors, the atmosphere, and the overall experience were all top-notch. I'll definitely be coming...
Read more:I visited this taco place recently, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food was mediocre at best—definitely not worth the hype or price.
What stood out more, however, was the unprofessional behavior of the staff. The three girls behind the counter were speaking Spanish and making inappropriate comments about me and my boyfriend. As someone who understands Spanish, I found this extremely disrespectful and unprofessional. I am a black woman. They should be mindful of their words because you never know who might understand them.
This kind of behavior, paired with subpar food, ensures I won’t be returning. I’ll also be sharing this experience further so others are aware. I have some recorded on my phone debating if I should embarrass them on TikTok. Should I Really ruin these girls on social media ??? They need more training, family...
