Pollo Locuas — Restaurant in Calumet Township

For those who are also thinking about having Mexican food catered for a party... I highly recommend "Pollo Locuas".

We met with Nubia (owner) at her restaurant yesterday around lunchtime. She spent about 2 hours with us and talked about the menu, her Taco Cart and catering services, she gave us some great party ideas as we ate samples of food that we were considering for our party.

I have nothing but glowing praises for Nubia as a entrepreneur, she has lots of great ideas, wants to make your party special and is such a delight to do business with. After all that said and done, none of that would have mattered if the food was not exceptionally good and it was... simply delicious!

Stand outs for me were the "Mixed Meat Tacos" were delicious (chunks of tender seasoned Pork and Beef mix), the Sweet Corn Tamales are over the top delicious (I liked so much I brought some home). My sister-in-law booked the party and we now have possibly 2 additional parties to book for this summer!!! I am very excited for the party, I know it will be special! Ordered food over thre phone and my order was wrong after I returned home. I arrived back at the restaurant to a very defensive woman telling me mistakes happen. I never once acted angry or verbally scolded her during the return so her defensiveness seem uncalled for. She took the returned food and took it back to the kitchen. I made a simple change to the order that equated to a difference of $1 and was told that my credit card would need to be reprocessed and the buck added. Thus request baffled me as I questioned whether me having to drive back to their restaurant was worth the $1 difference in which she wanted to charge me since I've wasted my gas and time making the return. She told me it was because they threw out the returned food. I declined thre change to the order on principle alone as she brought my newly made order. I returned home with the food, everyone opened their meal and surprise it was the same food she claimed to have thrown out just reheated. And we're...

I have been coming here for some time. The food is always delicious and the service is fast.

My company had originally ordered a tray from there and I was impressed I came back to try the other menu items. Good selection of taco meats and mariscos (seafood). The salsa is spicy but good!

During lunch today I went in and the lady recommended the quessabirria tacos. I gave them a try and they were delicious.

I thoroughly enjoyed the quessabirria tacos! The meat was incredibly juicy and tender, making each bite delicious. The green and red sauces added a flavorful kick, and the consomé was delightful. My only suggestion would be to offer a larger portion of the consomé..
