This was my first time trying Vitos. I ordered a Pizza for the ride back to Raleigh. When I ordered, the young woman who answered the phone was very polite.
When I went into pick up the pizza I was slightly disappointed to see that neither of the two workers were wearing masks. Neither were the two young Patrons inside.
Not a deal breaker but I was ready to get my pizza and go because I have 2 high risk kids and we already lucked out with one past exposure.
I have worked in restaurants my entire life so I was also disappointed that the young blonde woman working behind the Register was also handling the food/ cutting the pizzas. She had her long Rapunzel hair dangling over the food , wasn’t wearing gloves and didn’t wash her hands after handling a cash payment from the unmasked teens.
The practical Servsafe Certified 40 year old Mom in me said “Don’t be a Bad Mom and feed this to your kids it’s a freakin Pandemic!”
But... Past 20 year old Me said “remember all those dives you ate at wasted and all the shady hole in the wall places you worked and never got sick.”
Both “Me”‘s were hungry AF and.....
My 20 year Past Self won that fight because I had a car full of hungry, bratty kids and a hangry Husband.
The pizza was delicious- really good and really deserves 5 Stars and the woman working was really friendly but.... After we all grabbed our second slices, my teenage daughter went “Ewww.. Mom there is a really long blonde hair on my pizza!” At this point we had pretty much scarfed down the entire pizza and were driving over the drawbridge so I knew it wasn’t right to ask for a refund. I had to stop and get her McDonalds since she didn’t want to eat the rest of that slice.
Practical 40 year old me wouldn’t come back again after this experience, it makes me wonder what other unsanitary stuff is happening in there.
Sucks, because 20 year old Drunk me probably would because their...
Read moreHorrible customer service at Wrightsville Beach location. A bunch of college kids working there. All their friends came in and they were just fooling around chatting it up with them. They were so distracted they didn’t call me when my pizza order was ready. After waiting over 30 minutes I finally asked one of the employees if my pizza was ready. Mind you my order was simple half pepperoni and half cheese. Only one employee apologized to me. They all saw me waiting for my order none of them never asking how long I waited or if I needed help. I even had my children with me and my youngest was starting to throw a fit waiting so long. We originally wanted to just enjoy our pizza there but decided not to since my youngest lost her patience. Our beach house is only a 2 minute walk so this was convenient for us to just order pizza here. Obviously by the time we walked home the pizza wasn’t even remotely warm. A 15 minute wait turned into over 30 minute wait.
The pizza isn’t even phenomenal (I’m from NJ/NY I know my pizza) but because the customer service was terrible it really deserved no stars but I had to put a rating so 1 star it is. You lose customers when you hire irresponsible kids to run your business. I would re-think on who I’m hiring or watch the cameras and look over the employees to look at their work ethic. I suggest taking your business to another...
Read moreDespite the fact that this place is the only restaurant at WB open past 10PM, I will still never again go no matter how hungry I am; despite being a 5-year customer. The restaurant provides counter-service, not sit-down service; yet the cashier, Jason, constantly harasses customers for not tipping. On separate nights, I have heard about him kicking people out of the store, shaking the tip jar in customer’s faces, and even having intoxicated customers boo at you. On multiple occasions, myself and friends have complained to management. The managers do not care, do not bother trying to get anywhere with them. I hypothesize that the managers do not care because their location is phenomenal, so they do not struggle for business. This place has undoubtedly the worst customer service I have ever been provided and it is not even close; and they are repeat offenders.
Aside from all that, the pizza itself is not very good. The only reason I would go there over other places to begin with is out of convenience. But never again. I will not go to a place that harasses customers (typically people under 25) for not tipping in a service where tipping is not a part...
