As a seasoned food enthusiast, I'm thrilled to share my experience at the newly opened Bojangles in Wylie. From the first bite, it's clear that their culinary expertise shines brightest with their chicken tenders. The seasoning is masterfully crafted, delivering a satisfying crunch that sets a new standard for flavor.
But let's talk about their array of sauces - the honey mustard, Buffalo, BBQ, and ranch. Each one is a testament to their commitment to quality, adding a delightful kick to every bite. Their fries and mac and cheese are also notable mentions, flawlessly executed to complement the main dishes.
The biscuit offerings, including the blueberry biscuit, are nothing short of exceptional. The "Bo-Berry Biscuit," in particular, strikes a perfect balance of sweetness, making it a must-try item on their menu.
Intriguingly, they've hinted at the future introduction of bone-in/fried chicken, pending customer interest. However, their current chicken strips are already a gastronomic triumph, surpassing the likes of Golden Chick and Zaxby's. In my view, they are exponentially superior to Raising Cane's and Jollybee's, with their honey mustard sauce edging out even Chick-fil-A's.
In summary, Bojangles in Wylie is a culinary gem that's set to redefine the fast-food experience. Whether you're a connoisseur of chicken or a lover of hearty, flavorful meals, this is a destination that...
Read moreThis was the first Bojangles I've eaten in since the '80s (I was stationed at Fort Bragg N.C. then), and the flavor and taste of the food is definitely not the same! You can't get a piece of bone-in leg wing or thigh anywhere just tenders.
The dining area was generally very clean, except I had to have my table wiped because multiple tables were still dirty from the previous customers. The kitchen area was also very clean, including floors.
The dirty rice was bland and have no flavor whatsoever, even though it had what appeared to be sausage in it. It tasted like the food was boiled individually and then mixed together at the end. I remember this dish being very tasty and seasoned well! It's not the same today.
I also had french fries, and all those fries with very good and hot I had to ask for another order with no salt, because the first order had too much salt on them.
The biscuits are shaped different but they actually were very good.
I also tried the imitation peach cobbler, which comprised of a half of biscuit stuffed in about a 2-inch or less circumference cup, with a white sugary drizzle of an imitation flavor of sour cream (I'm guessing), topped with a tablespoon of glazed pie filling that didn't appear to have any peaches in it, and it was more pie filling than anything peachy! It cost $1.99.
