I like this place a lot and go there a ton still, great food. But when the owner is not present staff doesnât care about customer service. The owner really needs to have a talk with staff about providing better service. I came to order a drink which takes them a few minutes to make. I had to wait 8 minutes to get it this time. The store was not busy at all, I was there and two other customers already eating . After the girl took my order, the two girls started talking, looking at their phone and forgetting I gave the order. After 8 minutes of waiting I had to tell the girl I ordered 8 minutes ago, the order shows up on the screen right behind them. She looked at the screen to see my order. She made the drink and didnât say sorry for the long wait. Itâs like this new generation does not care about customer service at all. Also I strongly recommend the owner to put a mirror where the phone is or move the phone so the staff can see the customers waiting to give orders. acknowledge the customers in some way that they see them waiting. One time I saw a customer came in and the girl was on the phone taking an order. But her back was to the customer. The customer got really upset and frustrated cause she wouldnât turn around to at least tell him she will be with him shortly. You have to acknowledge ur customers. just say something anything, donât ignore if u on phone with other customer. The computer screen is clearly showing the wait...
Read moreFinally, authentic Lahori twist in the Murphy/Plano area. Didn't know what to expect going in. Even though there are tonnes of Pakistani restaurants in the DFW metroplex, with new ones sprouting seemingly on a daily basis, we did not really have any good Lahori eateries. Shan Grills broke the shackles here. We didn't know what to expect going in. But what we found, was a combination of the deepest, most welcoming hospitality (including personal attention by the owner) combined with flavors that, to the spice-averse palate, were a refreshing surprise. I had tried the weekend specials (channa paratha and shami burger) a few days earlier. This time, went for the stuffed parathas and the chicken. Food came with a cluster of chutneys and the most amazing homemade yogurt I've had in years. Tamarind, plum, mint... you name it. The food here has an authenticity that comes straight from a Lahori mother's hand. It has flavor that is not contaminated by a blanket of esophagus-ripping hot spices (a tendency that we see in many other "desi" restaurants).
I highly recommend the Shan Grills experience for anyone who favors flavor over spice-overload and authenticity over hype. Everything here is fresh and all the ingredients (meat, flour, veggies) are of the highest quality. I hope they can keep up the good work and continue to...

đ From the entrance, youâre greeted with a simple but welcoming setup: tables and chairs on the right and a view straight into the sizzling kitchen. Watching the chefs grill and prep in real time added a spark of excitement and made the space feel alive!
đ¨âđŠâđ§ The menu had plenty of kid-friendly options, so we ordered a chicken burgerâbut the flavor didnât quite win over the little ones. It was a bit on the spicy side, and they couldnât finish it. đśď¸ But hey, tastebuds are still evolving!
đ Next up: steamed chicken leg with basmati rice. The chicken was super simple and lacked seasoning, but the rice was a hitâfragrant, fluffy, and filling. My son actually ended up polishing off the chicken, so thatâs a small win!
𼊠I went for the beef chapli kabobs with rice. Not quite as authentic as Iâd hoped, but still enjoyable. Later, the kids dad tried the chicken chapli kabobs and absolutely loved them! đ
𼰠And hereâs where it turned around: kids dad decided to top off the meal with a crispy paratha and a warm cup of chai, which he thoroughly enjoyedâsipping happily like heâd discovered...
