Per usual I'll start with customer service. The staff was welcoming, and polite. There was no above and beyond approach, but there was nothing to criticize either. The atmosphere had one stand out feature...the rotisserie spit complete with fire šŸ”„. Personally, I have a childlike fascination with watching rotisserie chicken rolling over and over while the chicken grease continuously transfers from chicken to chicken. The rest of the restaurant seems a little too McDonald's or Whataburger for an establishment with food of this quality. That brings us to the food. Their specialty is in the name.... Chicken. The recipes are wonderful, and This particular visit I had an itch for hot wings of which I had 10, and one of them wasn't entirely done (see photo). The other 9 were delicious. I also need to mention the size of the wings was a pleasant surprise, but considering it was $17 for 10 wings... They should be large. Unfortunately that's not the case for most establishments that serve wings. Looking at you šŸ‘€šŸ”WingstopšŸ”Ž Admittedly, I should have tried that amazing looking, and smelling rotisserie chicken. Believe me the next time I go I will order that instead. My previous sentence betrays the fact I will patronize this restaurant in the future, and I would certainly recommend Cowboy Chicken. I was going to give the food 4 stars, but I just can't because of the semi-cooked wing. Although I have a hard time blaming the cook because the others were done to perfection. It's not as if they can cut it open and check. For that reason I'll still give the restaurant 4 stars as a whole.

I tried not to have high expectations for my first visit. I was excited to try the grilled brocolli and baked mac-n-cheeese. I received my food shortly after I ordered. They do have a good selection of beverages. I bought my food to go, $14.71 for (dark) 3pc and a soda with 2 sides. Unfortunately the chicken was a bit overdone, skin was like jerky, and the dark meat was dry (for m liking.) I thought the Grilled Brocolli was undercooked, super crunchy, not much of a grill taste. The baked mac was a typical mac-n-cheese. I would definately try it again as the potential is there, as there is a variety of menu items that look apetizing.

This day my Bro and I went to go fly drones ar the park on lunch break. We worked up a pretty big appetite for only moving a few feet lol. We were otw home and decided to stop by for some rotisserie chicken and twiced backed potatoes. Love how the chicken is roasted for 2 hours! Makes the meat so tender and literally falls on the bone! Always a fan of low and slow concepts ! Lady who took our order was super caring too. Brought us napkins and cleanded up after us! She def needs a raise and maybe a knee brace ;)

The family all decided on Cowboy Chicken. My meal was delicious as usual. Ordering through the app took a while but other than that, my carryout meal was perfect; 3 piece dark, fries and a sweet potato. No drink. Their chicken is flavorful and moist. Their sides are as good or better than any other restaurant's sides. I really like the number of side choices. The portion size is perfect. They have good deserts. Today I tried the strawberry shortcake. It was plentiful but a little dry for my tastes. Their chocolate chip cookies are massive and delicious. Their cobbler is the real deal. I would purchase the shortcake again as a change-up, but there are better options on their dessert menu.

They keep the restaurant clean and orderly. The staff is pleasant and welcoming. Cowboy Chicken does it right! Get that app working to get the last star. BTW, the last I checked, I was a "Rancher" in your customer loyalty program. I love the program because you offer meaningful rewards for my concept loyalty - thank you!

Update: The Murphy Texas location is nearly flawless. My normal carryout calls for clarifying my order via the comments. They get the order right every time. Their portions are perfect. The people at the counter greeted me with a smile. I've had an issue a few times, but it was resolved before I left the store. If you like chicken, this is your place. BTW, they carry juicy...

My husband told me not to write a review, but after a few days I am still so upset by this. On Sunday June 9th, we went to grab a meal at this establishment and did quite enjoy the food. Unfortunately, there were two female workers- who I grasped were in a "management" position (one older lady wearing a baseball cap and a younger lady wearing a jacket) , who no longer deserve a position in leadership. They were behind the counter where customers could see them, talking poorly about some poor employees who they got rid of and the horrible things they thought of them. Now, I have impeccably good hearing and I read lips- also nosy but that is besides the point. It is bad form and toxic to behave this way if you are running an establishment- practically bragging about how they did not have to deal with these recent former employees who from what I gathered wanted some time off. I could tell the poor girl behind the register was trying to keep her head down and get through her shift. Probably did not want to end up like the other employees and lose her source of income. As long as those two workers are there, I will not support this establishment. Neither will any of the people in my close circle because we all believe that no one should be able to abuse power and go unchecked. Gossiping behind the counter does not...
