We had been introduced to super cream bakery and their cakes tasted great. We went into order a cake a couple different occasions and never had any issues. Idk if they changed management but we went in to order a specific design cake (spider man) we started telling them the details of the cake and we were told we had to make an appointment this time. Ok fine. We had to make an appointment with the head baker. We had been talking to the head baker but he said why are you telling me now if I’m just going to forget by the appointment. We make the appointment and My husband had to leave work early to make it to this appointment. We live about 30 min away from the bakery. My husband gets to the appointment on time and he is made wait an hour before they tell him the head baker isn’t there! For the appointment that had to be specifically with him. He then had to schedule another appointment and drive back out there to go over the details. When he gets there for the second appointment we decided we wanted a couple details for the design differently and the head baker flipped out on us, because that’s not what we had originally told him. Mind you he told us to not tell him anything on our first encounter! We get the cake ordered eventually but we were not happy about the experience. We then go back a couple months later to order another cake. I decided to give them another shot. I am told by the head baker himself that I have to schedule an appointment to go over the cake details. I just about went off on him. The first time I was told to schedule an appointment with you and you didn’t even show up to the appointment! And then he had the nerve to tell me that it wasn’t scheduled with him. To celebrate my mother’s (& mine) birthday I ordered a half sheet of white cake, whipped frosting, an assortment of fruit on top, and whipped cream in the middle which cost me $78! So my sisters and I expected this cake to taste AMAZING! Imagine the horror of our disappointment when it ended up tasting like “The Worst Cake” we have EVER tasted!! I just don’t understand because I’ve had a few cakes made from them my cousin had purchased for a recent graduation party for her daughter, her niece’s birthday, and her younger sisters baby shower. Granted it was the tres leches, and not a plain white cake (dry instead of wet) From the cake to the frosting and the red jelly stuff all the fruit was covered in, the ENTIRE cake tasted like it was made with way too much gelatin! We realized the kids only took a bite or two AND left the fruit!! Now that’s saying something considering our kids love cake and fruit!!! The taste of this cake left a horrible flavor/taste that took a minute to leave your mouth! I was so disappointed and so upset for spending so much money on a cake that tasted so horrible on our birthday! Not going to lie, I shed a few tears because this was the first time in 12 years my mother was able to be in Michigan and have all four of her children and grandchildren together on her birthday, and I feel like I fell short when it came to her birthday cake! I used to love this bakery honestly! I got my quinceñera cake here and my cousins cake! Let me tell you that’s over $500 cakes both times and didn’t fail us and have gotten birthday cakes from there LOYAL costumers until the fact that I ordered a cake with time in advance about a MONTH before and mind you that I check with them a week before and they said everything would be ready! Well I go in that day and they couldn’t find the cake! I was like how?!?! I ordered it with time and I had to be at my sisters school in 15 mins! Well they said sorry but that wasn’t enough clearly since I did order it a month in advance!!! Well I never lost my calm because how would it help? Then she had a plan it was give me one of those already made cakes that have fruit on it which I didn’t want clearly that’s why I ordered one in advance and she only gave me the DIFFERENCE! Like she couldn’t even give it to me cheaper since it wasn’t what I wanted. I hate how they didn’t take responsibility for what clearly was their mistake and only gave me a simple apology which wasn’t enough. I would have told them to keep their awful fruited cake but I couldn’t go empty handed to my 5 year sisters party which she had been excited for only the cake. It’s not my only bad experience... every time I go this particular lady there after checking you out never gives back the change ... I don’t care if it’s 50 cents to a 1 penny it should always be...
