I was looking for a Latin American restaurant to take my Spanish students to as part of a field trip, and Yureika's was just the right place. Before our field trip, I had lunch there and interacted with the staff and met with Yureika to discuss my vision for lunch. She worked with me and our price range and even created a special, modified version of her menu that I could share with my students in advance.
The environment is lively and fun, and of course, the food is great. I've tried the carne asada, which is one of my new favorites, as well as the pastelitos, tacos dorados, and plátanos fritos. Yureika and her staff are professional, friendly, hardworking, and creative. They made us all feel right at home. I will definitely be returning. I highly recommend this place for individuals, families, school groups, and...
Read moreMy husband ordered the typical breakfast which they gave him something different than what the menu said. When we complained about what was correct, the person who cooked the food made fun of us and made a mocking comment towards us saying that he was Venezuelan, not Honduran, so he didn't know. From there, the owner of the restaurant came to our table with a bad attitude saying that the dish is like that because she made the menu, so she knows how it goes... We ended up paying for a mistake that was clearly theirs... Our waitress was apparently the owner, who has a bad attitude for customer service. And to finish, the meat for my baleada and my husband's breakfast, I think it was old meat, it was very tough and dry, you could barely chew it. And you should be prepared for one meal to arrive earlier and the other half of the rest of the people's food to arrive 10-15...
