What a pleasant surprise! We tried it because we saw an Internet posting and thought that it sounded very interesting, so we walked in not knowing what to expect. One of the owners walked us through every food and described how their ordering process works. You choose what size of meal you want, and then you choose what you want as your side dish. Depending on the size you want you choose a certain number of entrees. I chose Chicken Florentine and Orange Chicken; I love chicken. My side dish was white rice because that was the only side that sounded appealing to go with my entrees. I could have chosen Spanish rice, beans, or sauteed veggies, as well as the White rice.
I really like Italian food, and there were some really good Italian choices. But I'd like to see a more appropriate side for the Italian entrees, possibly something without bell peppers. But the rice was great with the Orange Chicken! The food was excellent!!
The dining area was clean & inviting, there was comfortable seating, and drinks on tap or bottles. The staff were knowledgeable about the food offerings. One of the owners told us how the Latin/Italian concept was developed, & it is an interesting story.
I highly recommend this interesting restaurant for a quick meal some time. Thank you, Dominic, for taking the time to share your story &...
Read moreLet me start with the positives—the store was very clean and the staff were extremely nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations.
Despite being marketed as Latin / Italian fusion cuisine, the flavors didn’t align with traditional Latin / Italian Fusion dishes. The chicken piccata was one of the few highlights and even that was just okay. The rice did not resemble Spanish rice, and the fiesta chicken lacked the flavor and vibrancy its name suggests. The shrimp was bland and underwhelming.
The empanada crust was excellent—crispy and well-prepared—but the fillings left much to be desired. We tried the cheesesteak empanada, which sadly didn’t remind us of a Philly cheesesteak in any way.
Another major issue was portion size. The sides, particularly the protein bowls, were literally half full. For over $50 (two platters and two empanadas), the value just wasn’t there—especially considering the many Dominican spots nearby that offer bigger portions and more authentic flavors at better prices.
I was genuinely excited to try this place after hearing about it, but I left disappointed. Sadly, I don’t see...
Read moreOk so boom when you walk in it smells really good! I noticed they greet every customer coming in which is really sweet. Their food is really good! I been there three days in a row for lunch. First visit I had the citrus chicken with white rice and beans. Citrus chicken is on the sweet side & mixes really well with the white rice and beans imo. Second visit I had Spanish rice and sauteed vegetables with the chicken florentine. That bowl was soooooo good I was like hot damn. Portions are fair for the price imo. Third visit I had the beef and cheese pastellios which I’m honestly about to go over there right now and get some more because they were so good. Like others I didn’t know what to expect being that it’s a Latin + Italian fusion but they really did their big one. Give them a try those two white boys are SEASONED & can throw down in the...
