Sad to leave this review. Have been a customer of this location for 20 years (under previous owners as Primo as well). My husband ordered lunch for my coworkers and I as a recognition for Nurses Day. When the food hadn’t arrived we called the shop and were told the food was left 40 minutes ago at the security desk of the hospital yet neither of us received a call. At that time we were told by security that there was a delivery downstairs. When I went to retrieve the order, the security guards and the elderly hospital volunteer told me to check the order. The delivery person “threw” it in the table and ran out angry and mumbling about not getting a tip. The pizza was cold and cheese on the top of the box - cupcakes were smooshed. I called back to talk to the manager who proceeded to argue with me, minimize my concerns and say there was no way he believed what I was saying. Argued that the guards must have done something to the order, that I couldn’t be a customer for 20 years because they haven’t been there that long (although I did specify that I couldn’t remember exactly when the shop changed hands but I’ve been there for 20 years) and that I was being rude because I had a tone and may have used an inappropriate word or two once he started arguing with me. Essentially not caring what I, as a long time customer had to say. Admittedly I was a bit upset during the conversation as my concerns were dismissed from jump but as a manager I would expect a bit more understanding when a customer is that unhappy- regardless if there were two sides to a story. Especially a customer who orders from there at least 1x/wk or more for as long as they have been open and for all major functions I have at the hospital and in my personal life. I am actually heartbroken but I can not continue to use a business that treats their customers so poorly. EDIT TO ADD: I did not call screaming and cursing- I called and literally said please take this with a grain of salt from a long time customer because I am upset with how I received my order. I said what I was told by security and the hospital volunteer and the nature of the food being cold and smashed. There were no little white things in the boxes and the cupcakes were also smashed on the side. Your reaction was not I’m sorry to hear that it was not a good experience but NOPE YOU ARE WRONG - this didn’t happen. L and “we haven’t been here for 20 years” despite my explanation that I have been coming to that location for that long so essentially since you opened your doors…That’s when I got angry. I am well aware of hospital policy of not allowing people to deliver to the floors BUT I am also well aware that the phone at my desk absolutely did not ring at all in the allotted time frame. And while you can say that your employee would never, I am also quite certain that the 70ish year old hospital volunteer who ran over so concerned that the food may be damaged would also not be lying. I haven’t left a review over the past 20 years because I have never left a review anywhere for anything in my 50 years on this planet but was compelled to today based on how I was treated and how horrible you made me feel as a loyal customer. My husband ordered a grinder and the loaded fries. I ordered a steak salad and regular fries. The guy on the phone sounded like he hated his job so much that he'd rather be pulling out his own teeth.
When I called it in I was told 45 mins to an hour. After an hour and 10 mins, I called just to make sure they didn't forget us. I was told the deliver guy was out and we should have our food soon.
It took 90 minutes to get our food. If that wasn't bad enough, it was ICE COLD. I mean, 90 minutes is bad enough, but if the food was hot, we would have just put it down to a bad experience.
Nope. Ever have ice cold fries? At least my salad was supposed to be cold. My husband's food was so awful. A cold grinder...cold formerly melted cheese. Soggy cold roll. Cold fries covered in cold melted cheese.
The salad? Imagine if you took all the veggies you have that go on a pizza and/or a hoagie, thrown in a container. It was a steak salad, so at least there was something on it that didn't look like garbage.
I never ever bother to write a bad review unless it's SO BAD that I truly believe other people should not waste money on it.
I would have called them to complain, but after talking to the guy twice, I knew nothing good would come from it.
I would give this place a ZERO if it was possible.
PS: I just realized this is the same place that used to be Primo Pizza, which we stopped ordering from because of the ridiculously long delivery times and cold food. You can change the name but you can't change bad good and...
Read moreI give 2 stars due to the disappointing customer service I experience. I ordered 50 wings and french fries over the phone. The guy was very nice who took my order. I went to pick up my order, which was not ready, however I didn't mind. I waited patiently. When the guy packed my order, he placed all 50 wings in separate containers in one brown paper bag. On my way back to work, the bag broke from the bottom and all the wings fell out on the floor. when I contacted the store, the guy advised that there was nothing he could do being that I had already left the store. I advised him that I had just left his store not even 5 minute ago. He continue to say it was not his problem. I told him that I would be on my way back to the store. when I arrived, he continued to tell me that I would have to pay for another order and how durable his bags were. I advised him it was the doing the right thing and making your customer happy. I just paid 50.00 for food that I nor my co workers go not eat. I told him that it was not fair that I just walked out of his store and there bag he supplied broke. It was only fair to replace my order. The rest of the staff completely ignored our conversation and continued to go about business as usual. After me raising my voice a couple of octave higher and advising it was either replace my order or a refund, he decided to remake half my order for a discounted price, which I advised I would not be paying, he finally decided to remake the order with slick comments added about his...
