REVIEW PRIOR TO REMODEL & REVAMP: Great food and excellent service. You can get anything here, from a slice of pizza, a burger & fries or complete authentic Italian dishes. I love their chicken parmesan dinner, which includes your choice of pasta & sauce, salad bar and great homemade bread. If you leave hungry, you've done something wrong LOL. Also, the waitresses are always on top of things - keeping your soft drinks topped off and checking to make sure that everything is okay with your meal. My husband and I eat here about 3 times a month and when we walk in, the staff (owner/hostess/waitress) always remember us and know what we want to drink - just an example. We can't wait for the remodel to be completed!! **EDIT: Since the remodel and overhaul of everything that made Santino's such a great place for lunch, dinner, or just a slice of pizza, my husband and I who were regular customers never go here anymore. I don't understand why they tried to fix something that was obviously not broken!! Sure, the interior was a bit dated, but they went and changed the food!! I used to love their chicken fingers and french fries platter, as well as their chicken parmesan with pasta and salad bar. My husband and I were able to order the chicken fingers basket to share and two soft drinks and we left feeling full and satisfied. But, the chicken fingers are not even the same kind/type/recipe that they used to make before they reopened. Neither are their fries. We also didn't recognize ANY of the wait staff when we were there. However, we haven't been back since our initial visit, so it's quite possible that we jumped the gun after our first encounter after they first reopened. In our defense, we were dissatisfied enough for us to know that it was no longer "the place" for us š. It's a shame that they went and changed not only the appearance, but the food. Goodbye, Santino's (or Tino's). We had a great run for a lot of years....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe were settled quickly and waited 5 min plus for our server to greet us. She greated us and asked us what we would like to drink. We questioned her on what they had and she had no idea about wine. We were never told they had cocktails and saw no signage or bottles letting us know they were available. We did end up ordering 2 beers, which we waited another 5 min for. We put in an app which came out in a timely manor and was actually the best part of our meal. Cheese Steak egg rolls, 4 out of 5 stars because the sauce that came with them was weak. A table that came in 20 minutes after us was served their food first, which wasn't to far from what we ordered. Finally our food came out. My date ordered chicken florentine and I ordered a meatball parm sandwich. Her meal said on the menu that it was the chicken florentine with a side of penne Alfredo. It came out as a heated up chicken patty on a plate of penne. The Alfredo sauce was butter with some cheese(see pictures). My sandwich was 4 large meatballs with very little cheese. The meatballs were plain with no flavor. I had ordered a side of hot sausage that was horrible. It tasted boiled.
As for the layout.....tight. Much tighter and closer than "Santinos". The bar as well was cut down. It also now sits over the dinning room with only 3 tv's over it. Anyone wanting to have a relaxing drink will have to sit over families of kids.
We didn't stay for a cocktail....
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe havenāt been to Tinoās since it became Tinoās and we can say we 150% will never go back. The service was not good whether the waitress was new or not, we didnāt even get a drink order in until 15 minutes after being at the establishment. Drinks were not provided unless we asked for. Never offered. After we ordered our food, two other tables who came into the establishment after us got their food before us. How does that add up. Our food then was about to be delivered but then the kitchen help stood at the kitchen entrance debating where the food was to go then turned around and walked back into the kitchen with our food. We didnāt receive our food until about 15-20 minutes later. The fries were cold. The lasagna was undercooked inside but over cooked around the edges. The chicken parm was lacking a whole 2nd chicken breast which is listed on the menu. And what was suppose to be a CHICKEN Cali cheesesteak came out as a STEAK cali cheesesteak. To make this all worse⦠no they were not busy.. at all. Please train your workers better. Teach your kitchen staff better cooking techniques. And advise all staff all customers can see their actions...
