Habit Burger & Grill — Restaurant in Yakima

Long day, hard work, and hadn't ate yet, and it was already 8PM. So I see The Habbit, and thought,

"Why not try it",

So I did, and it was worth it. I walk in, and was greeted by huge smiles, great customer service,.and terrific smells. I smelt the burgers cooking and the fries that were being made, and knew right away I made the right choice. Once I ordered, I sat down and noticed how clean it was. I also noticed how clean the drink area was, and was amazed. Everything was clean and in order. Talked with an associate and her name was Patton, and manager name was Audiel. Both were excellent in their customer service and made my experience very welcoming and enjoyable. Restrooms were spotless, and condiment area was super clean, it made me feel like a was at home. Super team working hard to get orders out, and i could tell they all liked their jobs. I could see the associates communicating with the manager, and the manager was professional, and was always complimenting the associates. Some thing you don't see anymore really in establishments. As i ate my food, i could see regulars talking, laughing, and smiling with the Manager and associates as they dinned and were leaving. This stood out, because it made you realize, they treat their customers like family, and truly appreciate their business. Food was superb, and i enjoyed it so much, i ordered another burger, and it was just as great as the first burger i ate called the Santa Barbra. They had this new sauce i had not ever tried, and it was amazing. The manager himself came out and delivered it to me, and we talked for a minute or so. Very friendly, courteous and polite. He answered some questions i had, and his professionalism was Awesome!. . It's hard to find great workers like that now days. As i watched the pace of the workers i noticed a worker who was working that evening shift, wrapping the burgers with care, and precision, almost like an art from. Super cool to see that much focus on how the food presentation was important to the company and its workers. I also notice that the trays were super clean, not like other establishments when they bring you food on them. All this i experienced at The Habit, made my dinning experience enjoyable, almost like dining at a 3 star renowned restraint. For being a burger joint, they made you feel like you were dining at an exclusive high end restaurant. I...

We've ordered from this place twice now since they opened and I'm not impressed. The first time we ordered from them was back at the end of April 2021. I ordered online for curbside pickup so I could grab it on my way home from work. Everything was ready nearly at the time they said it would be and everything was correct; however, the food was a major disappointment. The buns seemed to have been microwaved or were stale, and then they appeared to have been burned on a grill or in a toaster. The edges of the bottom buns were slightly blackened and hard. The burgers themselves weren't overly warm and the fries seemed to have been sitting out for a while and didn't appear freshly made.

We went again today (May 20, 2021) but this time decided to go through the drive-thru. That was a terrible idea. We entered the line at 5:54 P.M. and didn't drive away with our food until 6:33 P.M. I have no idea what took them so long, but they clearly have efficiency problems. There were approximately 9-10 cars ahead of us, but there's no way it should have taken nearly 40 minutes to go through the drive-thru. On top of that, the food was yet again not very hot. We tried the fries as soon as we left the drive-thru and they were only warm and a bit soggy. The burgers looked nicely made, but they too weren't very hot. And, again, some of the bottom buns were hard and black around the edges. At least the lady at the drive-thru window was...

First time eating here.

First thing, the service is absolutely fantastic. This is absolutely a higher level of care and personal attention than you get in other fast food places.

As a big Arctic Circle man, I was thrilled to see fry sauce on the pump. Unfortunately, they've overcomplicated it, and in the future, I'll probably just have ketchup. When I, of all people, want to skip the fry sauce, you done goofed. Ketchup and mayo. That's all you need. I bet you can ask for a side of mayo and make your own though. Also, A-1 sauce packets? Neat!

I ordered the original Charburger combo and a Caesar salad. The burger was good, but nothing outrageous. If you want "char" flavor, you will get more of that at Burger King or Carl's Jr, but this is still a perfectly competent burger. The fries were fries. The salad was very tasty and extremely well sized for the price, though perhaps heavy on the croutons. I was also pleased to see they had lite lemonade on the fountain. As someone who doesn't drink sugar, it's nice to have anything besides diet cola for once.

All in all, I definitely expect to be back and explore other menu items. But I don't expect to become a stranger at Arctic Circle anytime soon, unless instructed to do so by a medical...
