New York Teriyaki — Restaurant in Yakima

I've tried sushi at soo many different restaurants but this place remains my favorite. I have never been disappointed by a sushi dish there - even their specials are super fun and tasty every-single-time. The staff are incredibly nice and although they can get busy (which is a good thing in my eyes), their service is still quick and efficient. They offer carryout and the quality is just as good. You get large portions of food no matter how and what you order. Plus, you can't beat the prices. BTW, all of their food is delicious - not just the sushi. The food is ok here and they have a lot of variety in their menu. Service was just so-so. I walked into a fairly empty restaurant and no one was in much of a hurry to seat me. I asked to sit at the counter and they sat me directly in front of all the to-go containers and a box of vegetables instead of any of the other seats at the counter that were wide open. The place is pretty dirty. There are dirty dishes all over the back counter and little bits of old food scattered about. The whole place needs a solid scrubbing. Food wasn’t even that great . Chicken was flavorless Teriyaki sauce is on the side , so meat is dry . I order online and apparently the sushi guy wasn’t there . Ok that’s fine but she called me once and I couldn’t pick up the phone cause I was driving 2nd time she called I answered and she said “ I tried to cancel your order but it wouldn’t cancel” Ummm why would Canché when I had order and paid for other food ??
