I placed a small personal order on December 19th for pick up on Christmas Eve (2 days before the order deadline posted on their website). However, I did not receive a confirmation email or phone call the following day or the next day per the online order instructions. With the order deadline looming I called to check on my order, repeatedly, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday but I just kept getting a busy signal. I finally got through this morning and was NOT surprised when the "customer service manager" claimed they had not received my order. I couldn't remember when exactly I had placed the order off the top of my head because I haven't been feeling well but I knew it was a couple of days before the deadline posted on the website. (After my call I checked my screenshots and found a capture of the order screen dated 12/19.) Her response was "well, the deadline changed" and "we don't take orders without payment." Mind you, the website has no option for making a payment when placing an order online. When I tried to say that I was concerned they hadn't gotten my order when I didn't get a confirmation call or email so I had tried calling, the "customer service manager" cuts me off and starts talking over me every time I try to say anything! Not once apologizing that my order was lost or asking what I had ordered or offering anything helpful what so ever. When I asked if I could finish my sentence she just started talking over me again. I've been a customer there and been recommending them to people for about 35 years! I have even used them for corporate catering when there are bakeries closer to the office but I don't think this "customer service manager" knows the meaning of customer service. I've worked customer service - retail, call centers, food service, educational institution - for many years and have even trained customer service reps so I know how hard the job is but there is no excuse for rudely cutting off and talking over a customer, especially when you're supposedly the customer...
Read moreThis bakery is great. I knew them from a decade ago when I went to school in the area and they were always ordering Cramer's cupcakes for all occasions. A few times when I'd make the trip back home, because I lived a distance from the area, my ride would stop there so we could get something to snack on for the way home. I've always remembered how one time we stopped and I badly wanted to get a Cookie Monster cupcake but wasn't able to because it was dairy and I'd had meat that afternoon, so this year I decided to make good on that old memory and finally get try the Cookie Monster. I ordered by phone to have it shipped, and some muffins to go with it. The phone ordering was quick, easy and direct. They handle the order and you speak with the shipper separately, which went very easily and smoothly. They delivered well! Came in the bakery boxes filled with bubble wrap and stacked between brown paper in the shipping box. Not only that - but they arrived in barely 2 days flat! I was so impressed with the rapid delivery time. I tried a few right away and they were very good, tasty and hearty bakery goods. And now I have enough to last me a bit! Haven't eaten cramer's in over a decade so it was both going back in time and mostly a new experience. You can feel it's free of preservatives, just natural baked goods, excellent if you want to get a quick snack or breakfast muffin. Good memories and carefully made bakery items, both then and now, so glad to know they haven't changed. This bakery does a good job! Thank you for handling my...
Read moreI ordered a full sheet cake for my mom’s 75th birthday, ½ vanilla and ½ chocolate buttercream frosting NO filling. We picked up the $140.00 for the brunch and when it was time to cut the cake we noticed it looked different and taste funny. It was filled with peanut butter icing or some foreign light brown filling. I immediately called the bakery to see what happened because there was friends and family with severe peanut allergies. I spoke with Kaitlyn who was very apologetic I sent pictures to her and she spoke with Ciera about it and I was informed to come on Tuesday to get my money back. Fast forward to Monday and the owner called me and said that I was lying because that don’t use peanut butter in their filing and that I am not entitled to a refund. I explained to him that I have the cake that I can bring into him to see and taste and he was still rude and insisted that nothing in his bakery uses peanut butter. I would strongly not recommend using them they refuse to own their mistake and refund my money. My mom’s 75th Birthday Brunch was ruined……. Thanks...
