The contents of this review refer to a horrible Mothers' Day experience we had at Canal Street Grille. We decided to do a take out order for my girlfriend, 2 sons, and son's girlfriend. Upon returning home, we found 2 of the entrees missing. I called back to inform them of the omission. The manager answered the phone and immediately insinuated it was my fault as she claims to have reviewed the order on the phone. In fact she did, but the restaurant did not prepare the food as ordered. When I got to the restaurant, to pick up the omitted items, she again acted as if the restaurant did nothing wrong and was not sympathetic or even apologetic for the inconvenience of having to drive 20 minutes to complete the order. In fact she actually said "you didn't have to come back at all." She would have given me credit for the meals on a future order. I guess the other family member and I were not supposed to eat! This person was rude and did not display even one shred of customer service. I will never again spend even one dime in this restaurant, especially with such excellent options as Continental Tavern, Yardley Inn, or the Vault within walking distance of CSG. I suggest you take your business elsewhere as well. While the food is anywhere from acceptable to good (not great), it does not compensate for the lack of...
Read moreI very recently dined here on October 23, 2025 for lunch with family. Overall, the meal was excellent, the food was outstanding, and the atmosphere and service was top notch! However, I need to voice a major complaint. I had ordered a side greek salad with my turkey club. Unfortunately, I bit into a black olive which had a very hard pit inside of it. I immediately panicked and thought I cracked a back tooth of mine on the left side of my mouth. Immediately after lunch, I called my local dentist in Yardley and miraculously, they were able to see me right away. While I thankfully didn't crack the tooth, I did have to get some back cleaning and filling done instead on the gum and molar. This was very painful, uncomfortable, and difficult to deal with the procedure. It cost me a good amount of money too unfortunately. Long story short and moral of the story. Please please I beg you for all of your customers, to use non pitted black olives for the foreseeable future in all salads period. I don't want any customer to have to experience what I went through yesterday. Thank you for listening and reading my...
Read moreTL;DR: you should definitely eat here!
We came here on accident, thinking it would be a burger joint. Boy, were we wrong! Our table had a great view of the canal, and the overall atmosphere was classic understated elegance. Our waitress Emma was very friendly and helpful with menu questions and suggestions. We started with Roasted Beets and the Greek Dip Trio... the eggplant dip was my favorite, but the tzatziki and hummus dips were excellent, as well. The mini Greek salad was very fresh, but not very mini! That would've been enough to sate us, but we still had our entrees coming.
I got the Faroe Island Salmon with raspberry reduction; my sister got the Autumn Chicken. Both were two-thumbs-up delicious. Needless to say, most of these came home with us.
I recommend this restaurant to anyone within driving distance. The parking lot isn't huge, which may present a problem during busy hours. The outdoor seating patio also faces the parking lot. I very much look forward to...
