Had a lovely birthday dinner at Trattoria Rosa Bianca tonight. My husband and I only moved to Yardley in September so this was our first time there. I loved the idea of having dinner in a historic Victorian home. Our server, Reggie, was not only professional, but incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was great quality and served in good portions for the price. I was really happy with our dinner and am excited to go back again! *Appetizers* Perfectly crispy, but soft polenta sticks with roasted mushrooms and an outrageous pecorino cream sauce Tender and perfectly grilled octopus (a fave of mine) with crispy potatoes and arugula. A lot of the octopus was hidden under the potatoes in the picture. *Entrees* Squid Ink Gnocchi with shrimp and broccoli rabe in a light, but deliciously briny sauce. Again, some shrimp were hidden under the gnocchi. Gnocchi can be hit or miss for me with most being too doughy, but these were tender while still having some heft to them. Chicken Saltimbocca had a good portion of juicy chicken, prosciutto, more crispy potatoes and brussel sprouts. Focaccia bread was also served at the start of the meal with olive oil and tapenade. Both entrees came with a mixed greens salad with tomatoes and onions in a zesty dressing.

Delicious food in a beautiful setting. A definite must if in the Yardley, PA area. So close to TCNJ in Ewing and Princeton. Food is amazing. So hard to choose, but that’s okay because they offer 1/2 portions so you CAN get both pasta dishes. We totally enjoyed the Mozzarella in Carozza- fresh mozzarella cheese sandwiched in house made focaccia, pomodoro sauce. The ultimate Italian grilled cheese served on top of a salty tomato sauce. We also had Polenta Fritti - crispy sweet potato polenta, mushroom conserva, roasted garlic aioli. We cleaned the plate. Nothing left behind it was that good. We then shared the Fregola pasta salad with garbanzo beans, walnuts, goat cheese, white balsamic vinaigrette. All Amazing starters. For our meals we had Carbonara Autunnale - rigatoni pasta, guanciale, butternut squash crema, sage, egg yolk, pecorino. Gnocchi di Zucca -house made pumpkin gnocchi, apples, leeks, walnuts, sage brown butter. Fregola Sarda - sardinian fregola pasta, braised lamb, gremolata, pecorino and Strozzapreti Cavolfiore- hand made pasta, spicy roasted cauliflower ragu, gremolata, pecorino. And Capesante -seared scallops, butternut squash puree, pickled fennel salad, pistachios. All enjoyed. All delicious.

When your very italian friend says “order the cutlet” at Rosa Bianca, you order the cutlet. My hubs and I stayed local for Valentine’s Day and went to this BYO on Main Street. We got an early bird rezi so the baby could tag along. It was the ideal family outing. He got to flirt with our neighboring table who also had a young buck. We brought a bottle of Barbera that was just the right amount of dry and peppery. My hubs ordered the duck confit ragu over bolognese and I got the chicken Milanese. The arugulas was dressed in a dressing I could probably bottle up and drink. While I didn’t get a snap of the arancini, it was probably our favorite dish of the night. Our kiddo went ham on the focaccia as an infant does. He was also a big fan of the salad tomatoes?? I would say we made a rookie mistake by not saving room for the tiramisu HOWEVER we had a @sugarcoatedtable cake at home. So we’ll be sure to report back on the tiramisu next time.

If I could review this with 0 stars, I would. I went with my husband for dinner here yesterday and it was the worst Italian restaurant we’ve ever been to. As soon as we entered, we got hit with a musty, old wood smell. I understand it’s in a historic Victorian home, but I didn’t expect to smell this in a restaurant. I’ve been to other establishments before that don’t smell like this. We should have left right away but we decided to give this place a try. The waiter sat us down and everything seemed fine until he brought out our appetizer. After that, it’s like he forgot about us. No one came to check if we needed more water. The bread that came out was so cold. I noticed the waitress was constantly checking on her table next to ours and I got frustrated. I had to ask her if she could get our waiter to bring water. Ridiculous. Most of the tables were occupied in this room so it’s not like he was busy elsewhere. He would come and didn’t even look in our direction to see if we needed anything. The service here was terrible and not like anything I’ve experienced. Food wasn’t any good. As soon as we left, we ended up having stomach problems from the food. Definitely do not recommend for the price of the food!!! Ambience, service, food quality, everything was below average about this place. I recommend you go to any other Italian restaurant but this one. I’m never...

Service was good and food was fairly priced. Some were hits, others were not. I must admit... Their crispy polenta appetizer was delicious! Highly recommend. All their entrees come with a side salad, which was also very good although a little heavy on the red onion. For entree, I got the pork tenderloin. While juicy and tender, it was actually almost mushy and bland. The vegetables (not potatoes though) were all overcooked and mushy. The "gravy" was so full of fat and oil it kinda broke down in an oily puddle on the plate. I would not get this dish again. My husband got the Sunday Sauce special. The meatball and sausage were very good but the pasta sauce was very sweet and not well seasoned. It tasted like it came out of a can 20 minutes before we ordered. The pasta also seemed like it came out of a box and wasn't fresh. Both entrees were ok, at best. They have other items on their menu that I'd like to try, but not right away For dessert, I had the lemon tart which was delicious! And hubby had salted chocolate tart which was also good, although the sauce it came with tasted extremely boozey...kinda good but kinda over powering. Overall, a nice place with good service and ok food. Should note: we went on a holiday so maybe they were just overwhelmed and didn't have the usual cook...

I really wanted to like this local restaurant in an old Victorian home, but I was sadly disappointed. My food was good, but not as great as I would expect for the price. My dessert, however, was gross. I got the cannoli, took one bite, and that was it. Our waitress noticed I wasn't eating it and asked if I wanted it boxed up and I said no thank you, I didn't really like it and without saying anything she took the desert away and took it off the bill. She did ask if I wanted something else, but because my cousin's dessert was also not as good as I would have expected, I declined. In addition to the food just being okay, where I was sitting I was staring at a broken curtain rod that would have just taken a few minutes to fix and I was sitting next to a really dirty curtain that either needs a good washing or to be replaced. There were tired picture frames on the wall that were askew and the carpet was thin and gross. Again, for the price I would expect the inside to be kept clean and up-to-date. When the hostess came to reset the table next to ours she slammed everything down and didn't put anything straight. She left the salt on one side of the table and the pepper on the other side of the table. It seems trivial, but little details make a big difference in a...
