I, along with 5 other friends, decided to make a reservation at this restaurant for a joint birthday dinner. We were coming in from out of town and were looking forward to having dinner there since it seemed to accommodate our vegan and vegetarian dietary restrictions. Unfortunately, we did not have a chance to try the food seeing as they refused to seat us for our reservation. Our reservation was at 7:30 PM. We arrived and made our way in to check in to be seated. We were told that it would be a 10 minute wait since none of the tables were ready yet. We were more than happy to wait for our table since we know that cleaning and getting a table ready for a party takes time. Once the 10 minutes had passed, we walked back into the restaurant to check in once again. Instead of a ready table, we were greeted with a passive aggressive comment from a customer (this person will be important later in this review). We were then told that it would take another 10 minutes but that our table would be ready soon. We once again waited the 10 minutes. It was close to 8 PM (more than half an hour had passed) and we were considering going somewhere else since kitchens and restaurants were starting to close. Two members of our party returned to the restaurant to ask about our table. Instead of having a table ready for us, the hostess pointed to our table and told us that she did not know how to ask the party currently sitting at the table to leave. They had already paid but chose to sit and stay longer. To our (no one's surprise at this point), the person who made that comment previously ("Weren't they just in here?") was one of the people sitting at our supposed table! The passive aggressive comment and the snarky attitude from the customer was not appreciated and the hostess' confusion on "asking them to leave" was odd and did not leave a good taste in our mouths. We did not feel welcomed in the restaurant and looked for another place to spend our money. Thankfully, The West End was able to have a table ready for us on short notice. I (along with my friends) do not recommend coming here if you are seeking to celebrate your birthday with a party of 6. I honestly do not think I would recommend coming here at all. Go to The West...
Read moreMy food was good. Got the early bird special so it was a fair price for sure. My kids shared a kids pizza and fries and there were tons left, which isn't a good sign. Not because it was huge but it wasn't great. Fries were incredibly overdone that they barely ate them. They were so hard i couldn't even offer them to me 1yr old. The place is beyond small. We sat right at the door and it was windy and rainy and every time someone came in or out we felt like we were outside. The waitress we had was nice. Couldn't seem to remember who ordered what each time she came over when there was really only 3 adults ordering. What I didn't like...at all... was the rude hostess that made a comment to my 5yr old that I still don't get about moving her feet because I guess she needed to move a chair from our table?? Not really sure what her problem was but I think my face made it clear to her I was not impressed with that AND they only have 1 high chair. I get the place is tiny so maybe they think it won't ever be a problem but guess what..it was tonight. If that wasn't bad enough the way the bartender( who by looking at Facebook pictures i think is the owner!) tells us this was just rude too. Almost looked annoyed that we needed one. My 1yr old had to sit on my lap while some 5yr old used the high chair. I certainly don't expect them to get it back from someone using it but the attitude about it was unnecessary. Basically like a .. not my problem.. type of vibe from her. Didn't even attempt to help figure something out for us. They don't even have booster seats either. It's too bad because this place was on my list all year to try and it's walking distance from our house here. We rent out over the summer and love suggesting places close by to our guests but the attitude there will keep me away sadly. Giving 2 stars for the steak tips...
Read moreBeen coming to the Cape for years and we finally decided to try this place. When we got there we heard the people behind us complaining about their streak tips being charred, we should have left then. The fish tacos were as bland as it gets, my sons glass of sprite had a chip in the glass so I asked for a new glass of sprite, they brought him club soda. Sent that back and asked for the pineapple juice that came with the kids meal but they charged us for the pineapple juice. The fries were as plain as it gets, I've had better fries at McDonald's. They tasted like something out of the frozen food section thrown in a fryer, there was no seasoning at all!. My daughters Mac and cheese was an experience, all the Mac and Cheese was literally stuck together like a snake when you lifted it off the plate. We exchanged that for the chicken fingers, which was good. My wife liked her meal but said it was nothing special, and the burger was a burger that my son got. Service was also pretty poor, there are maybe 8 tables in there, we were 1 of 4 tables being served and it took almost 40 minutes to get our meal. I would not recommend. Very pricey for...
