DISABLED PEOPLE PLEASE READ! I have to use a Rollator walker to go anywhere where I will be walking very much. The front step is very high, but I knew that coming down it would be the biggest issue. We were shopping and picked out several things to buy. I asked to use the bathroom and the young woman behind the counter told me they did not have one. I asked her where did she go to the bathroom at and she said across the street. (Really?) I said you should talk to the owner about that! It's not fair for you to have to go to the bathroom across the street. She stared at me so mean! My husband noticed it too. We should have left our items and not bought them, but I did not have it in me to find another souvenir shop and go in. l asked an older woman which I assume was that younger woman's mother to let me go down the handicap ramp (which was chained off from the outside). She went into the office and got a man which I assume is her husband. BTW... There was a young man they were talking to and taking care of behind the counter that was severely handicapped. They should know how it feels to have to deal with places that do not have handicapped accessibility. The man and woman took us to where the beach swim stuff is sold and he had a very hard time opening the door... He told me someone was supposed to come and fix it. It had items stacked in front of the door. I do not believe a wheelchair could have gotten through there so they had to have another place to bring the young man in the wheelchair in... I'm assuming a back door? The ramp did not look to be in good shape, and I was worried about walking down it. They had no empathy whatsoever. The younger woman still looked very hateful at us when we were checking out... Where we spent $55. So not only did I not get to go to the bathroom, but I had to ask to be let out of a locked door with items in front of it and down a ramp that did not look very well. I was extremely upset to the point of tears afterwards. Not only the lack of kindness for others from these people, but also they could have a lot more business if they had a working handicapped accessibility entrance/exit. It's insane to think that they would not have a bathroom in this whole big building. I'm so...
Read moreWhat a wonderful shop with every Cape Cod souvenir you could ever want! We bought all kinds of things from shark statues and oceanic decor to some awesome coffee mugs to model cars to jewelry. We also got some Cape Cod sweaters, hoodies and lounge pants that are the prettiest and most comfortable we've ever owned! Me, my husband and 3 teenage sons spent almost 2 hours here! The family that owns and works here are some of the most kind and sweet people ever!! They were so very helpful and even gave us a free Cape Cod fish decal for our car. Which by the way is awesome looking as we absolutely LOVE the Cape and all it entails. If you're looking for a place to find some great souvenirs, clothing, and also a fudge and saltwater taffy shop...this is it! Side note- on our drive back home we stopped at another gift shop (to use the restroom) which had a few of the same items and I noticed they were all about 2 to 3 dollars more, so definitely a plus👍🏼 I totally recommend tradewinds in Yarmouth and we will...
Read moreOne of my go-to souvenir shops! This place is never a disappointment, so much to choose from!! Beach accessories; chairs, tubes, floats, toys, umbrellas, boards, towels, hats, bathing suits, shirts, sweatshirts, etc. They have an amazing selection of souvenirs, apparel, jewelry (especially my favorite- ankle bracelets) and just so much stuff I cannot list!
Our favorite this year were these bracelets that when you purchase it supports this company called ‘Fahlo’. Each of these bracelets are unique because it signifies a specific animal. The bracelets have stones and an animal stone. My youngest picked a shark and my oldest picked a polar bear. There’s so many to choose from! When you register it into the app you can see where your animal is and has been & interesting facts about the animal. So cool!!
I love visiting this shop, the employees and owners are always so friendly and welcoming. If you’re lucky you’ll get to meet the store mascot; a cute puppy that’s so friendly and...
