I'd ordered ahead over the phone, making the call right from the Google info page on the restaurant listed in south Yarmouth. Due to some glitch apparently the order was taken by a different branch of the franchise - though I'll never know which one. I arrived just prior to closing to pick up my order, only two find out that no order had been placed under my name or any name for that matter. The girl was nice enough to sympathize with my plate... However is the restaurant was closing in 6 minutes it was too late to have my order prepared in the store. In my customer service experience, I think it would have been appropriate to immediately throw in two pizzas and stay open an extra 10 minutes for customer satisfaction. I was informed at the ovens it already been turned off so there's no possible way she could help me. (Well,, not in a way she was willing to anyway) I was not very pleased by that kind of casual disregard that my dinner had basically been ruined, as there were no branches going to be open late enough to help me. One bright side to this situation was a large cheese pizza that was extra for one reason or another was offered to me at no charge so at least I didn't go home empty-handed. She warned me that it was about a half-hour old and apologized, but any pizza that's free is entitled to not be perfect! I learned to always double-check which location I'm talking with...
Read moreThere's a woman that was in charge the night I went that in no way should be working around other humans. I witnessed her yelling at a Door Dash delivery driver that was trying to simply and kindly do her job for the customers and then did the same to another man who was also a subcontracted delivery driver. She (likely an assistant manager) was absolutely out of her tree and abusive in front of customers. Loudly too. I've loved Papa Gino's since I was a youth. Sad times when this is what we have to deal with. Keep smiling everyone. It's not you; it's them.
Edit: Google does not allow me to reply to the nicely worded corporate style reply, with all of its appropriate sincerity. I think that letting others know gets the job done faster but I appreciate your corporate reply Anonymous Owner. Seems I don't need to email you. You can clearly see the whole picture here and it's transparent so that we can make better choices, which is my intention. So, I will reiterate that the woman I mentioned, ought not be working with other humans beings and yes, she cost you a lot of business. Seems this is more effective but again I appreciate the corporate response...
Read moreI decided not to cook and I stopped at Papa Gino's and asked for a Sausage and Pepper Parmesan Sub. They don't have it.?? So... I ordered a Sausage and Mushroom Pizza instead. The Pizza was perfect. Plenty of loose Sausage instead of that sliced flavorless... Whatever it is, that you get at most places. Good sized pieces of thick cut Mushrooms. Yum! Toppings were fairly even across the Pie. Crust was evenly cooked. They were doing a brisk take out business for a Monday night. Dining room was clean. I could only see a bit of the prep areas. There was a bit of paper trash by the visible half trash bin which Employees were walking past. All Employees in work spaces were wearing Gloves. My Pizza tasted great! The only off thing was it was cut unevenly which tells me someone felt rushed so didn't pay attention to seeing the slices were all the same size. It didn't matter to me as I live alone. However it might make a difference to a family/group. All around, a...
