I have never had an issue with the employees here until I started providing mechanical services for one of them (I run an automotive repair business)
What started out as a friendly business relationship enveloped into a very unprofessional and slanderous situation when one of the GMs decided to start telling employees behind my back that we were engaged in some type of romantic/sexual affair. To give you some context I go here everyday (to get sweet teas or a quick snack when I’m starting my route). I’ve become a regular well known customer here and my niece even works here part time while in school.
I am friendly and talk with everyone here when I see them. I even know many of these employees by first name. So the casual business relationship I had with this employee wasn’t out of the ordinary.
But this particular weekend/daytime manager decided to start telling my minor niece that we are hooking up/in love with each other( not in her wildest dreams). I could understand if it was a joke she said one time but it became an ongoing/ very inappropriate issue that has now developed into me having to go down to this location to talk with their General Manager about the situation. The general manager spoke to me with the disrespect and disregard you’d expect a GM from a random McDonald’s to speak with. Coming out of her office with a pen and piece of paper but never taking a single note on what I was saying or relaying to her, smiling the whole time with a genuine look of (I don’t care about what you’re saying). She claimed at every turn that she (doesn’t care what happens outside of the McDonald’s as if she didn’t believe what I was saying to her) This particular employee I’m talking about is banned from another McDonald’s due to sexual relationships with another manager/her behavior (she is the one who told me this personally). If you thought talking to the GM was enough to stop the drama you’d be wrong, she decided to pull my 16 year old niece aside and imply she was going to get her fired for reporting her. This is a child who was uncomfortable in the work place, and who did exactly what she was supposed to do by reporting the issue to the proper manager.
Mind you the woman I’m speaking about is in a relationship with someone. She told me she regularly cheats on him.
I am disgusted and infuriated at the sheer disregard and lack of care or accountability for this McDonald’s manager. I own and operate two businesses in the community of Red Lion. I have serviced thousands of vehicles in this area, some of which may have been vehicles belonging to the parents/workers of this said McDonald’s. This is defamatory, disrespectful and slanderous. This could have potentially cost me thousands of dollars in revenue due to her gross slander of my name, image and likeness to her co workers.
I am still deciding if I want to get my lawyers involved and sue for slander, harassment and emotional distress, as this has now gotten back to my girlfriend of 4 years whom I share a home and bills with. (She is angry at the establishment for not taking action against this employee)
I will be calling McDonald’s corporate tomorrow and letting them know what issues I’ve been experiencing as well as demanding action be taken immediately. For someone who is supposed to lead employees. Be a pillar of knowledge and trust, and to be someone novice employees can rely on. This manager sure...
Read moreAlright so I currently work at this McDonalds, and after reading all of these reviews I'd like to clear a few things up. I saw a lot of reviews on the state of the store, yes we know the old thing is messed up we can't help when things break. Our store has yet to be refurbished like the other ones in the area; I can say this collectively for all of the employees we hate it too, we hate that we always have something broken, busted or down. "workers don't want to be there"/ "service was slow b/c manager said that a lot of people called off" It sucks when you have unreliable employees who don't come in (some don't even call ahead of time) it also sucks working a crumby job making crapy food for all of you, I don't like working there but I need the money, we also have seven mothers and a single father with young children ( they range from 5 years old to newborn) who can't always come in due to the health of their children or even personal health (we also used to have an insomniac and a schizophrenic, I personally have multiple mental issues that include depression and severe anxiety- just to name a few) 3." person at drive thru couldn't understand me " dude speak clearly if we can't understand you and be patient, the headsets suck. 3.5. I also saw a review about somebody at the drive thru sounding high; I know who you're talking about, that would be the insomniac I mentioned earlier, his low monotone/ tired tone of voice does make him sound like he's high. He's cool if you know him in person though. ( and when he actually gets some sleep) "burger tasted like it was microwaved" I laughed at this because the burgers go nowhere near the microwaves, but I understand why one might think that. The burgers (except for quarter pounders they are made fresh when they are ordered) go from the grill to a tray and that tray goes into the heating cabinet which keeps the burgers warm; sometimes they are left in there for too long and aren't thrown out after their timer goes off, so then they probably taste a little weird. There was a review complaining about someone's son being given a hot pink troll toy and the manager said it was a gender neutral toy. It is considered a gender neutral toy, especially since it's stated on the boxes the toys get delivered in. Most of the Movie promoted toys (such as the Trolls toys and The Incredibles toys) are only marked as gender neutral so be a little more open-minded and let your kids play with the toy they got. "got sick from food" Yeah that happens sometimes (commonly with the regular hamburger meat or if you get undercooked eggs), if it does happen to you or a friend call our 1800 number and report it. We do also send home employees who seem/look/ get sick at work as soon as possible. I also saw a review about the order screens, our location doesn't have those yet we have yet to be refurbished, the reviews probably meant the Cape Horn location. Along with all of the "something was broken" reviews, I also saw a lot of "they were out of something" reviews there is one person /usually/ to blame for when that happens but I won't put their name here, I don't want to throw them under the bus, but we are ALL annoyed and effected when inventory and truck orders aren't done properly. Thank you all for reading, I hope I've given you a sense of perspective on the employee's side...
Read more*EDIT at bottom: I order breakfast here every morning in a more picky way I ask for a folded egg instead of round and extra cheese. But ya know what these girls and guys here go way above and beyond for my fiance and I almost...ignore this (every single morning almost). They take care of us, and when I have an issue, they always fix it either that day or whenever Id like to come back. They are a great morning crew there and I love getting my breakfast there. I firmly believe raises are in order! Have a good rest of your week everyone there! *EDIT: The weekday crew is amazing no issues, and its unfortunate that as soon as the manager changes on weekends the crew makes mistakes everytime. I have not received an incorrectly made item during the week in over 13 months, this is no joke literally every other weekend tho the weekend crew forgets or makes something wrong. How does it happen so often? Making mistakes like that should be something that happens once in a blue moon, not once every weekend. Second edit: So just had a young girl, 17 to 20 I'd guess make a macchiato and bring it over all mixed up. I asked her if it could be remade because it's supposed to be separate, she says and I qoute I can't do it that way because it's a machine. So I said ok I'll have someone else do it because I'm here everyday and theu always make it that way. She proceeds to go back and make it again, and viola! magically it's correct, but she hands it to the manager and says I don't want hand this to him, what? Because you lied and said it couldn't be done this way and now that it has been you look really dumb? It's OK girl everyone makes mistakes. But own up to it, don't be mad at a customer because they point out a mistake and you argue and end up wrong. Just...
