Nick's Beachside Grille — Restaurant in York

I rarely ever write reviews so you can take this review to the bank! First off, we ordered margaritas that were made without a key ingredient. They attempted to substitute with something else which resulted in our drinks tasting super tarty and overall not great. One of us returned the drink saying that it was undrinkable, and they took it off of our bill and offered us another drink in its place, which was cool. Second, we ordered calamari as an appetizer. When it came to the table, we asked if there was a dipping sauce available to which we did not receive an answer but it seemed like we were understood as the server walked off so we were under the impression that she was going to take care of that; she didn’t. We also had no plates, napkins, or silverware during the appetizer-portion of the meal. About this time, the three waters that we had ordered were nearing empty so a person from my party asked if we could get some more water. Only one out of the three waters we had were refilled, and one of the non-refilled waters was that persons primary drink. Finally the food comes out, we had ordered x2 of the haddock tacos and a white pizza w/chicken. The pizza showed up with a red sauce instead of a white sauce. The tacos showed up on ready-made hard shell taco shells (like you get right out of the package from your local grocery store). They weren’t even heated up or dressed up at all; terrible. We had to ask for silverware, napkins, etc. after the fact. All in all, our experience was not great but the staff was young and seemed to have good energy, just no managerial direction. If you eat here, don’t get the tacos, unless you desire food that you couldn’t make extremely better yourself in 15 minutes or less. A...

I cannot rave about this place enough. For six people, every single meal was perfect. Food was hot, everything delicious. Beyond delicious. It was delightful. The Seafood Alfredo was ...perfect. I need synonyms for the word perfect so that I don't overuse the word "perfect" in this review. Scallops, shrimp, lobster, Alfredo sauce, everything was flawless.

The others in my party had a variety of food and everything was perfect. The steak was cooked correctly and was delicious. A well done burger was again cooked correctly but still fantastic, which isn't easy to do. Garlic bread was "melt in your mouth". Fries cooked perfectly. Fish, perfect.

The service was A++++. Even at a place with good service there is often one single small thing that might not quite be perfect, but our server was fantastic.

A friend and I stopped by Nick's Beachside Grille for a drink and some appetizers. The interior is on the smaller side, but it is nicely decorated and appears to have availability for outdoor seating.

Don't let that deter you though. The staff here is very attentive and super friendly. They checked in often and ensured that we were enjoying the food and drinks and had all that we needed.

In addition to this, the food we ordered was cooked to perfection. I supplied some photos of the Garlic Rolls, French Fries, and the Mozzarella Sticks. We eyed the room for what others ordered as well and their meals looked just as good! The meals are well presented and was a pleasant surprise when going to a Beachside grille.
