Finally, a local restaurant that serves Persian food! Delicious too!

• Lowed rating from 5 stars to 2 * Updated 10-April-2021: I wasn't happy with this experience. This restaurant has changed since I visited a year ago. No longer do you get bread and hummus with your entrée, and you also do not get a side salad.... but the prices of the entrées are the same (so you're paying the same but getting less). The other thing that annoyed me was after the meal was brought to my table, no one ever came to check on me again; and no one said "thank you" for the business. [Kicking myself for tipping them when I placed my order!] After a year of severely reduced business, I would think restaurants would be going out of their way to delight customers. Sadly, it was more like I was doing them a favor by eating there. The young lady at the front desk was too absorbed with her phone and the music to bother with customers. My final comment is about the music. This is a Persian restaurant, so why not play Persian music to enhance the customer experience. Instead, they were playing Hip-Hop tunes which I can hear anywhere. I suggest they look into Radio Javan. It is a phone app and they could easily play it. Radio Javan has great Iranian pop music. I finished my meal and left... no one said anything. It was as if they were finished with me as soon as I paid the bill [and tip] when I ordered at the desk. Old school Iranians are known for their hospitality. Sadly, I didn't feel it here. Lots of room for...

only got half of a meal. a friend wanted to order lunch from here so I agreed.  I googled the menu and looked at the lunch specials...a sandwich with french fries for 7 bucks.  while checking the menu I see for 9 bucks you can get the entree with bread, rice, hummus and a salad.  well I'm like shoot for 2 or 3 more bucks more I can get hummus, rice, bread and salad.  so i call and am put on hold for seriously over 5 minutes.  i dont want to let my friend down and just hang up so i wait and wait.   we go to pick up and i pay my 10 bucks and pick up my food while he waits for his.  get it back to work and by now I'm just starving and open it up and the entree is in there on a bed of three pickles and some little tiny bits of wilted lettuce and tomatoes that may count as a "salad."  no rice, bread, hummus and seriously no salad.  the entree was ok and did have a little plastic container of some dipping sauce...definitely not hummus....definitely not hot... was kinda warm maybe and tasted good. hey bathrooms were clean and prices seemed reasonable if you got what you paid for...but ultimately I paid for the whole meal and got like half of a meal.  the owner was a super nice guy but you only have one chance to eat lunch a day and if you wind up with half of the meal you paid for and spend the rest of the day feeling shorted then believe me nothing can make...

This is one place I had to delete my review and rating only to rewrite. We visited this place just after a week of opening. I hardly had any choice with vegetarian food but did order something recommended by one of the staff. That was a half cooked lentil dish with rice with no flavor or salt. My wife ordered a shawarma again with no flavor whatsoever. We did try to inform the person at the counter but he seemed to be reluctant. We paid the bill and left without eating. I guess the owner walked in by that time , saw the table and came to the parking lot looking for us. He apologized and requested us to come in again. Since we were already late, we said we will try another day . An exceptionally friendly and polite person, the owner was there when we visited again last week. He did remember us. This time the food was good. Once we are done the owner surprised us saying the food was on the house to make things right. Every business falls short at times but what makes it exceptional is making things right. This owner knows customer...
