Normally I enjoy BW3s. I’ve been coming here for years, since I was a child. I know what I like, and I know what to expect and they rarely if ever let me down. It’s amazing though how one poor experience can totally ruin it. My family and I visited the location off of James L Hart Parkway in Ypsilanti township. My wife, who is a vegetarian, ordered cauliflower wings as she usually does. Her wings came with very little sauce. An unusually little amount of sauce, as if they had barely even attempted to coat them. At first it wasn’t a big deal. We told the waitress and she said the Kitchen would remake them, no problem. They left her with the original order at the table for her to munch on while her new order was being prepared. That made sense considering the rest of us all had our food and were eating. Suddenly the waitress came out and said that she needed to take the original order back to the kitchen. My wife protested saying that it wasn’t her fault that the order wasn’t made correctly and that it wasn’t fair for her to have to sit hungry while everyone else was eating. Next, the manager came out and said the same thing, that they had to take the order back to the kitchen because they were remaking her order. At this point I got involved and I told the manager to leave her alone and stop harassing her about giving back food that they messed up. The manager begrudgingly walked away, mumbling under his breath that he was going to tell the kitchen to only remake “half the order,” because we refused to give back the poorly made first order. At that point, we told our waitress to forget about the whole thing and that we didn’t want them anymore. As we requested, they did not bring out a new order of cauliflower wings to my wife, but they did proceed to charge us for them even though they were not made correctly. We’re not usually ones to complain in restaurants, but the childish nature of the manager was totally uncalled for. Our waitress was clearly not the one making the decisions but rather doing what she had been told to do, which seemed totally unnecessary and disrespectful. Had my wife ordered something that she just simply didn’t like, that would been a completely different story, but the fact that her order was made incorrectly, and she was put in the awkward position was not right. The right thing to do would’ve been to leave the incorrect order on the table and remake the order correctly. Not leave the order on the table for a few minutes, and then later demand we give it back, making the whole experience awkward and tense and overall ruining a...
Read moreWORST EXPERIENCE EVER, and that's saying something!!!! Anyways we Had a party of 6. We ordered our beers and food. Finished eating, so was there for about an hour then a couple people we know walked in unexpectedly tried to sit at our table. The waitress told us that they couldn't sit at our table rudely because it was a fire hazard. They left then came back, about 15 min later with 2 other people they knew. They sat at the table next to us. Remember they didn't come with us we just knew 2 of them, and just to note the waitress was really bad and slow. We got our bills with automatic 18% gratuities on each bill I asked what is this she said parry's of 8 or more gets automatically 18% we told her we only had 6 people she got mad argued with us, then we asked for the manager he was completely rude and immediately said okay you don't wanna pay the bill (which isn't what we said what do ever) we will call the cops after 10 seconds of talking. Like this has to be the craziest worst management in the history of a bar/restaurant/sports bar. We waited about 40 more min for the cops to show up. They show Up and tell us the manager said we refused to pay. Which is far from the truth we just said you can't charge us 18% gratuity for a party of 6 and if you are automatically adding gratuity you need to tell us. The cops told us to call Corporate and that they agreed with us on the matter but they were just responding to a call. Which in return the cops even said that this happens pretty regularly at this establishment which is completely insane to me. Which please note I asked the manager for the policy at least 20x for the automatic gratuity of party's of 6 and it never was shown... EVER he just kept walking away every time I asked for it. Then the cops say it's a civil matter and a bunch of other stuff. But anyways needless to say the server Ashley is terrible short curly black hair and her manager (who would not give his name, which is very weird) is even worse. She argued with us so many times and even said I knew I wasn't getting tipped good cause one of the people that showed up that wasn't in our party was rude so she had management add the 18% gratuity. Please please don't visit this establishment it's ran by trashy people that want good tips for sucking at their job and arguing with customers for no reason at all. But needless to say if this is how you run a business especially to people that live locally and visit this establishment on the regular at least 3x a month minimum is just terrible...
Read moreMy family, friends and I are regular customers at Buffalo Wild Wings Ypsilanti. We made reservations for our middle school graduates to celebrate their achievements. I arrived early, sat at the bar and enjoy a few happy hour drinks and appetizers. The reservation time 4p-8p Thursday June 5th. We know there is a mandatory 18% gratuity for party guest. The two male managers both were respectful about the 18% as they noticed the party guest we’re getting serviced outside of the party room by different servers. Everything was great until shift changed then we encountered Meaghan who was extremely rude. She stated because we are the parents the 18% apply to us at the bar. She snapped at me a few times as I tried to politely disagree and requested to speak to another manager. Unfortunately there were no other managers only Meaghan who was still rudely raising her voice at us saying she was in charge and there was nothing we could do to remove the 18% gratuity from our bar tabs. The more I tried to get assistance elsewhere, Meaghan continued to intervene being nasty. I then requested the cooperate phone number to the HR department. Meaghan furiously maneuvered from the bar to the kitchen, then front counter. I stood at the front asked a few employees does that manager treat them in the manner they witnessed her with us and they said yes a little worse. Meaghan returned slung the number at me then made sure she let me know she didn’t care an we could not get any more service. “You Are All Set” we’re the words of the bar tender as my husband asked for a refill of All You Can Eat Chicken and a sprite. He informed me when I returned to the bar an I asked for him to be rudely turned down. I asked why and was told it was Meaghan instructions. My son never received his order because they refused to service us. A few of us planned to hang out at the bar until the graduation party was over but we end up standing outside the restaurant about 6:51 because we were refused service. Come to find out nobody in the entire party was charged the 18% so they gave us at the bar a hard time for no good reason. Candice the server in the party room. I gave her a $30 cash tip then we waited outside the restaurant for the parents. This experience was very degrading. It makes me never want to return but because of the dayshift bartender, other nice respectful managers, and server Candace I may return only in the daytime...
